Rye Grain Cakes

Afoaf has 6 rye grain cakes in his terrarium, and one has begun to fruit. The others show nothing yet. Do you think he should do something to innitiate the others or do they just need more time? The humidity is about 97% and the temp is about 75. All cakes were cold shocked one day before putting them in the terrarium.

while on the subject of rye grain today this guy pressure cooked and innoculated his first jars, after pressure cooking at 15psi for 45 or more mins, heremoved jars and let cool for about an hour, they are half pinters and he said seemed cool to the touch, not hot at all...
he innoculated with Amazonian and treasure coast...

his substrate mix was as follows

8 cups vermiculite
3 cups brown rice flour
1 cup rye grain
3 1/2 cups water

will this mix work? he has have a feeling thay he used a lil too much vermiculite but says he was just going by one of the many recipes on here. anyone else use this BRF/Rye Grain/verm mix before?

also should he just birth cakes or when fully colonized should he break up and case top layer? would bottom layer be verm then substrate then verm?
