I don't know what my personal best high is honestly. 

Being in love has a shitty comedown, a shitty hang over, a shitty withdrawal, and it's expensive.  It can be an amazing experience though.

I'm not sure if it's the best high because I haven't tried everything yet but the best I've experienced would be dancing to some full power psytrance, peaking on an lsd/mdma combo, at 5am, anywhere in nature.

Music

Music is the best high for me, truly better than any drug, especially while performing live.

But my favorite part of playing music is when I'm jamming with my band and all of a sudden there is this orgasmic feeling that we are all connected and while it is happening we don't really know it since we are all lost in our own little world.

Then it happens, that amazing moment of which only lasts for a second or two and your senses are exalted into dimensionless ecstasy. Then comes the part where we catch ourselves and realize what just happened.

If we are really lucky and really feeling it then we might be able to get another moment out, but usually the jam just starts to ramble on into something else after that high. This moment can happen at any time for any musician though and is not limited, one can attain this state constantly if they are extremely gifted and have practiced enough. At this state playing music is kinda like meditation. Of course all persons involved are very proficient at playing their instruments.

If you listen to Phish at all you probably know what I'm talking about. They have pretty much mastered it and you know what I'm talking about when they lock into a groove and then that moment happens.

The moment I am talking about is the same moment that one might see at a Phish show (or any concert).

The cool thing about the high from music though is that it doesn't act like other drugs as in the intensity of the high, it actually gets better over time. As opposed to crack for example.
