How healthy is ecstasy for you?

I'm talking street ecstasy - not pure MDMA. Is taking one pill every 6-8 months harmful in any way?

If it was pure MDMA I would say no. But there is always the risk of nasty shit in those pills.

Pure MDMA definitely not. It's also quite unlikely it is pure, but even if it isn't, one ever 6 months is nothing to worry about.

no one could give you a good answer on that, because the chemicals vary A LOT, ranging from meth and other amps to DXM and Ketamine and 2c's

One pill every 6-8 months isn't harmful I'd say though, unless you have an adverse reaction to one of the rando chemicals.

I use street E maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks (usually 4-6 caps) but I get mine tested...I still have never had any health problems tohugh, mentally or physically.

Like I said - not pure MDMA.

I suppose my real question is, is it harmful to take the amount of meth and or K and or whatever in those pills once every 6 months?

The amount of k or meth in those pills is never enough to harm you. Gotta remember the people supplying those pills are chemists, and even though they're cutting em dirty they only put enough to potentiate the small amount of MDMA they did put in the pill. I took 2 purple decepticons my first time rolling and they ended up being methbombs, and I was just fine. I've had friends chew through 3-5 H bombs in one night and they didn't OD even though he had no tolerance to any opiates. The only thing you have to worry about when it comes to street pills is IF you dont want drugs they might cut em with to be in your body in the first place. That and the crash is usually more harsh with dirty street pills.

Yeah I know what I'm ingesting for the most part, I've taken plenty before when I was a bit younger and stupid, and have had this one laying around forever but I just don't want to harm myself in anyway.

99% of the stuff on the net is crap, and filtering through it is nearly impossible. Erowid is great but kind of vague about health issues.

Lol, all drugs are harmful to a certain extent, even cannabis. Even caffeine. Even Khat. If it's pure ecstasy at a moderate dose, I'd say once or twice a year should leave unnoticeable damage, nothing too serious. Then again, read below.

There have been studies showing permanent brain damage from Ecstasy. My friend's husband took it 5-6 times over one or two months, and eight years later, he still has memory problems (aging is undoubtedly involved, but the ecstasy (and whatever else was in there) *definitely* did something to his brain).

All E is dangerous.

Cannabis / Mushrooms / Cactus - much less so...

Check out the research at MAPS.org.

They prove, in some studies that Cannabis is not too bad, while E does cause brain damage.

Check out the German study of E users versus Cannabis users versus non-drug user control.

The E users preformed more poorly than the other two groups.

The Cannabis users preformed as good or better than the Cann + E group.

Facsinating stuff.

This is a good reason why this research is so critical.

It's harm reduction...

Also - why kill your pleasure brain cells, for 4 hours of fun... when you could instead use them for the next 40 so years of your life?

I agree with fire shaman's last statement very true.  Ive been looking into alternatives, I was amazed by how much like MDMA 2C-b was and how clean it felt.  Im working on procuring some pure mescaline so that I can try that out.

I agree with fireshaman - I've rolled probably 15 times in the past but I have gotten older since then you're absolutely right about the 4 hours vs 40 years thing.

Also, how healthy is ecstacy for you?  uhh, about as healthy as jamming a pencil in your ear.  Pure MDMA?  Ehh, breaking a pencil in half and jamming it in maybe.  Though pure MDMA is WAAYYY better than street stuff its still pretty bad.  I reserve MDMA use for raves or other scenarios that are best suited for it.  Though I have been searching for alternatives.  2C-b is definitely the closest Ive found and i reccomend it highly.
