we have a gathering forum so that arrangements for meetings, gatherings and get-togethers can be made there, not here.

it wasnt an issue of "wrong forum" the issue was about my post not belonging on this site at all...try to understand before playing mediator.......im not trying to be a dick at all..and if that kind of stuff isnt allowed here thats fine...ive just seen it time and time again...i used to be a member here back in the day, ...posts like these were a dime a dozen in the gathering forum...and the original post mentioned more than one legal mushrooms to hunt....whats wrong with that...no trespassing....legal mushrooms...good times...and lets not pretend growing mushrooms isnt illegal and there is a cultivation forum...once you have delved to far into illegalites , why look back?

i didn't get that at all, and at any rate i don't feel that way. chillax.

as for playing moderator, what's wrong with my trying to smooth ruffled feathers on a board we try to keep running happy and smooth? FYI, i used to moderate this forum and i care about it quite a lot. no offense intended.

then why does the shroomery have a gathering forum.

The gathering forum is so people can get togeather and hang out.

If you read the rules of the gathering forum you will see that no discussion of illegal drugs can take place in that forum, and you certainly can't have a gathering for the purpose of looking for illegal mushrooms.

1) When did I not do that?
2) I am very unlikely to do that.  But I don't think you will be able to come up with an example.

and its not like i was asking people for their spots i was seeing if anyone watned to gather at a chill spot that I know (paper copany land  clear cut pines..no trespassing involved)  of and also hunt legal amanita muscaria var. formosa's and also boletes,...i also said we would probably see woodland p. weilii (never said anyone had to take them)....i know no one knows this because the original post has been deleted, ...but these are the facts...your the moderator though,,,what do i know

Your intent to hunt illegal mushrooms in a group was clear, and your post clearly violated the "no asking for hunting partners" rule.

legal mushrooms...good times

You seem to have forgotten which thread you are posting in.

The shroomery walks a fine line between legal and illegal.  Due to this gray area we enforce many rules to avoid conspiracy charges.  So far our legal strategy has been working.  It may look like an underground illegal site, but it is completely legal.  Its mostly indexed by google and our lawyers give us guidance on what is permissible and what is not. I have a good understanding of how the US legal system works, and when I see something that could open us up to criminal liability I remove it.

Are you finding these in bermuda grass? Do you know if they grow in emerald zoysia? I seen a few dark brown clusters that look just like these. They only had about 2" caps though.

Guys, do I have some pictures for you! I've been hunting every day this week after class finding a few here and there, and yesterday finally hit the jackpot. Hauled in 19.5 wet ounces... The great thing is, I left a TON! Some of these things are MONSTERS! LOTS of clusters of 5+, which I'm not used to with Weilii.  There's a cluster there of 5, each with stems the diameter of my thumb... I love fall. A couple found in Pine straw and fescue, but mostly found in Bermuda Grass, just like all of my good patches!

Get out there and HUNT people! N.GA is CRAWLING with Weilii! I'm going to enjoy my weekend in the mountains with a bag full of Weilii! :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

I don't think its important to leave any.  You have no idea how many psilocybin mushrooms there are out there.  People pick less than .000001% of the actives that grow on this planet, so leaving some won't make a bit of difference.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that.  There are a lot of people who take them to get fucked up, and then accidentally realize how cool mushrooms/nature is as a direct result.  So in the grand scheme of things, its probably a good thing that people take mushrooms just to get fucked up.  A lot of minds get opened that would have stayed closed otherwise.

not to mention [well, i suppose in fact to mention] that in most habitats, a great many of the mushrooms hunted for are missed at a given time.

you can know for sure when you've been picking in a given location regularly and still keep stumbling upon specimens that are well aged, even to old to use.

I only left 'em if they were pins (not sporing yet) so the patch keeps on goin'! I don't take mushrooms to get fucked up... There's always alcohol for that. No, I'm hoping for another breakthrough trip this weekend in the great outdoors. I really don't think it gets any better than that.

Alcohol is toxic and its the only drug that actually kills brain cells.

If you just want to get fucked up, you would probably be better off using mushrooms.

exactly! UK and USA not need to be mycophobes. Seems to me there are a great many more useable funji than harmful, but it is only those few harmful ones that keep the masses from thinking there is any benifit from mushrooms.
