'09 N. Georgia P. Weilii Season Has Begun!

Well, I've anxiously been awaiting this years Weilii season, and it has definitely begun! I harvested around 120g (and left plenty more to print) at the patch which treated me so well last year. The fruits from the patch are looking so different from last year, yet so distinctly Weilii. Take a big whiff guys, good times are on the way.:mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

Oh, are they ever. They're definitely Weilii, I've just never seen Weilii "saucer" so distinctly. However, in the mix there are the classic bottle-cap fruits we all know and love. You can see one in the background of the second pic. I'll try and get some more pics and get this thread filled up.:thumbup:

See I went to an area that has given me many weilii over the years and I noticed that they didnt bruise, I ate around 3 wet grams and still nothing. I guess if they don't bruise they aren't active

I've had Weilii bruise so intensely it almost looked black. You can clearly see some bruising here, both on the edges of the caps as well as on the stems.

Pics aren't of the best quality, but enjoy!

you j ust didnt eat enough..3 grams wet break down to about half a gram dry...i always have a tendancy to over eat on a weilii buffet because they are so plentiful but your under shooting it buy a good bit.....i would eat AT LEAST half an eigth (1.75 dry)....for some nice noticeable effects..but thats just me,..i cant stand half way tripping.

can you give a little more detail on this....sounds interesting but honestly doesnt sound like good weilii conditions...any recently disturbed soil?...sweetgums?...thin layering of loblolly pine needles?

does anyone hunt woodland weilii?...i know of some paper compnay land in north GA its like clear cut pine trees in red clay soil,...its a sick spot and the woodland weilii produce some sick variations,,...huge blue aborts,...and some of the biggest caps i have ever found were out there,...its alot of walking and alot more looking,...peeling up layers of pinestraw looking for mycellium / pins....but its so rewarding when you find them,...most times also in huge numbers.

It is at low elevation from most of the land around it, the land above it has huge amounts of P. Weilii. It is red clay with dead bamboo on it, I just thought it was an interesting spot for them to grow, which is why I mentioned it.

edit:  Asking for hunting partners is not allowed.

Also, it is foolish to meet random strangers off the internet to go hunting psychedelic mushrooms.  Not only will they have all your spots, they are likely to narc on you if they get caught with the mushrooms later.  In addition, organizing hunts for psychedelic mushrooms puts the shroomery website at risk due to the conspiracy to possess a controlled substance laws.

not to mention the weilii would be woodland weilii, and you just dont know how many variations they come in untill you see some woodlands,...the  aborts are insane...so blue,...so big

i've been so focused this last week, on the hunt, that i can't close my eyes without seeing patches of various mushrooms...  like visions of sugarplum dancing in my head.  i'm beginning to think that maybe i don't need to find any.

i understand what your saying, but practice what you preach.

and its not like i was asking people for their spots i was seeing if anyone watned to gather at a chill spot that I know (paper copany land  clear cut pines..no trespassing involved)  of and also hunt legal amanita muscaria var. formosa's and also boletes,...i also said we would probably see woodland p. weilii (never said anyone had to take them)....i know no one knows this because the original post has been deleted, ...but these are the facts...your the moderator though,,,what do i know
