Thread lock

Has the "reasons to live?" thread been locked? If so, may I ask why?

(Yes, that's a spiritual issue in itself... fear of death? Fear of talking about death?)

When someone mentions that they will kill another human being, that generally isn't considered nice. (my guess anyway)

--------------------
To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

But it could be honest. Killing the thread of someone who asked for a reason to live isn't nice, too.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Perhaps on of the mods will respond with their reasoning...

I just think its a bit lame when a Moderator moderates without at least leaving a message behind.... I had plenty to say on that thread..

--------------------
Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

Yeah, me too. And the thread already had two very nice replies.

I'm so sorry for being annoying, but could one of the mods please be kind enough to waste some of his precious time in order to gracefully reduce my ignorance by giving me a subtle hint to the (unquestioned) wisdom behind the decision to close that thread?

Ignoring me is not nice and makes it difficult for me to keep up my niceness. Heh, just kidding. I'm always nice, even when I'm annoying.  :smirk:

Although I did not lock the thread, I support it being locked. Comments like this:

y should i continue living? why dont i just kill myself, and all of you for that matter? i live in va, i need a gun, but im gonna kill u too

Belong in OTD. This does not fall under the "Be Nice" policy

Creating a new thread to complain is unnecessary. You can PM a moderator if you have a gripe. Sorry that no reply was made in that thread as to why it was locked, but we have to use our discretion sometimes, and most likely the mod who locked it thought it inappropriate. I'm locking this thread also, for obvious reasons. If you have an issue you can PM either me, Mr_Mushrooms, or Lozt_Soul, and we will keep the lines of communication open.
