It's even funnier when he has no hesitation in stabbing a turtle right in the neck, but then talks about how religious he is.

Not on the show, but his website is full of god/religion blabber.

Funny shit.

Stabbing a turtle offends what religion? Never seen that episode but as long as he ate it, whatev.

turtles are a large part of the injun beliefs, some of our creation
stories involve the turtle, coyote sent him down as deep as he could swim
so see what he could find, he went down several times and the last one
almost killed him but he returned with a little dirt, that it what became
the land of the earth

i watched some of it. he finds some vines growing in an arch. maybe 8 or 10 of them. he starts cutting some out of the ground, then the next thing you see is this perfect igloo-looking hut that happens to fit him perfectly. i'm sure he didn't need any help to build that.

lol... he probably could have feasted off the muscadines if he were
shooting now, now nothing can eat the fruit and he had a makeshit shelter
that could more easily have been done from kudzu or pine trees

just watched it now,

i wish he would stop the whole "i'm teaching you how to survive thing"

the whole show seems to be pretty staged, from the pig, to the fire, to the cave with the perfect way out, to the truck.

Never does Bear encourage doing anything he does. He allows the viewer to see OPTIONS of what they COULD do. It's up to viewer to decide IF they were in that situation IF they could handle it. Again, don't get survival info from tv.

Les gives common sense information...sometimes good less than heard of information. Want a fire? Steel wool and anything to create a spark, wood...oh and a brain.

yeah, i thought the same thing about the pig. his deer trap didn't work, but he just so happened to catch a pig in one. cught it by a string wrapped around its leg. bullshit. it looked totally staged.

it was staged, he said so, to "demonstrate how to handle it"

obviously you jump on it - :rofl2:

the cave thing was rediculous though.. they prescreened that place that's for sure. and the truck driving by, honking and everything - when they play that off as real it annoys me.

dont worry, that particular turtle is long dead and those injuns have far more pressing issues to worry about...

I just watched the alabama episode, I'm surprised he was so concerned
with alligators, his show is becoming more and more of a farce

the pig certainly wasnt a feral pig, the tusks grow from a small black
tooth in their mouths, when pigs are born farmers usually clip it to
prevent the tooth from growing, that one should have had at least a couple
of inches showing by that age
