Hepa air purifier question

Down at Lowes they have Hepa air purifiers. They range in size from shoebox to a large suitcase.

With modification to direct airflow, can these units be used to create a laminar flow?

No.
Useful to reduce the spore load in your apartment, probably. But to convert to laminar flow would require a laminar filter.

there filters arnt thick enough to even get close to laminar flow.

they are usefull in lowering spore count in your place. Just make sure to turn it off an hour before you go to work on stuff

If you want a flowhood, you'll either have to buy one ready made,

or build one yourself.
