Bear Grylls... yet another thread
    #10888797 -

only with a slight twist... had I only know, I'd have been there to call
him on the bullshit because this is only a few miles from me... I'm
curious about how this will play out since it's far from a wilderness setting

"Man vs. Wild" with host Bear Grylls was filmed at Little River Canyon back in March, and that episode is set to premiere Wednesday night at 9 p.m. on the Discovery Channel.

Les Stroud did his first episode in the ga swamps, I'm yet to see it :frown:

That episode Les did in the GA swamps is the bomb. You're really missing out.

dude... I totally missed your :pm:

I was reading the top 10 memories of alabama in the discovery webpage, it
talks about narrowly escaping a forrest fire, looks like another setup
because there were none, just a number of controlled burns, the only one
that got out of hand wasnt until late june and was 80 miles away

lol... bear is some shit

it's a nice spot, there's a highway bridge about 100 feet behind the falls
and that pic was taken about 50 yards down from the parking lot, loads of
hiking trails over there... been meaning to take the kids out there but
now that I know bear has had to survive there I'm thinking that it may be
too dangerous for humans to even consider

My nutsack would do a better job of surviving at a Vasectomy Convention than Bear Grylls would EVER.

how did i miss that episode? i used to go hiking there all the time. its only about an hour from me. its absolutely beautiful there. its my favorite place in alabama.

i found this spot where you can sit on a rock underneath where 2 waterfalls come together. its amazing. its perfect because eventhough its under 2 waterfalls, its just right so there is alot of mist, but its dry enough to not put out a joint while you smoke it. its a bit of a climb to get there, but its sooo worth it.

little river canyon is definitely the most beautiful place in alabama. its not too far from desoto caverns, as well as a few other cave systems. i'd love to have a southeastern shroomery gathering here so i could show everyone around. that would be really cool.

i could be wrong, but it seems like i remember reading something about alabama having the most cave sytems in the country. maybe it was the most state park cave systems? its almost like i have the memory of a pot head.

dystopia: are you from around here?

I know one of the largest explored cave systems in the world is north of
me in LaFayette, I took Shroomism and a few other shroomerites there a few
years back, we didnt get to far back in the cave, just a little teaser for
them, I've been all over it and numerous others in the area

Dystopia and Moe... it's starting to sound like that southeastern
gathering might be a good idea

I wanna meet you anyway - what's it been, 7 years? 8?

Southeast sounds awesome. Get it together and count me in.

bear grylls ate a fat-ass beetle maggot for absolutely no reason.
he may be a dishonest lunatic but because of the above i respect him nonetheless.
