Fish oil, tyrosine and piracetam
    #10822699 -

I have the fish oil, have the tyrosine, now I just need to piracetam. Something drugs like speed or opiates do to me is they make me real interested in what I'm learning and enthusiastic about it. I wanna instill that mindset in me without damaging my liver and making me stupider in the long run. Taking those 3 drugs every day seems like a reasonable approach.

The fish oil because lots of us have a deficiency of it and that can bring on trouble concentrating and learning. The tyrosine for energy and motivation because dopamine levels play a large role in those things. Piracetam as an overall brain vitamin.

Has anyone else here used any of these 3 substances for a long enough time to notice effects?

I used to feel very calm when I took fish oil every day (maybe like 2 grams, I don't remember) but I was also meditating a lot during that period so it's hard to say. But it has definitely been shown to have mood stabilizing properties. Ray Sahelian says it makes him "serene".

Piracetam is kind of weird to pin down - at first to me it almost feels like I have taken a very low dose psychedelic but then seems to dissipate over a couple weeks. The cognitive benefits, however, (I think) have been shown to not fully burgeon until after taking it for some time.

No experience with tyrosine. I don't think you could go wrong with fish oil and piracetam though, unless you notice a negative affect. Tyrosine raises blood pressure and can be dangerous in high doses. Not to say you should avoid it completely.

Thanks for the info. There are loads of different nootropics to try but I've heard people recommend piracetam so I'll give that a shot. Choline sounds like a good one too.

Piracetam is very good to take. Take also a source of choline with it so it can go into high gear. You could take lecithin, choline bitrate, eat eggs or some other source. Fish oil at about 2 gm a day is very good too. A multi vitamin and you are good to go. There are other good things too but that is a whole other subject.

Nice one. I put all that on my list of stuff to get. When you say there are other good things do you mean things to do besides taking substances or substances for other purposes? The coolest aspect about piracetam from what I've read is it gives all these benefits like more oxygen to the brain and protection against chemical and physical brain damage while having extremely low toxicity itself.

Pir helps your memory, verbal fluency and creativity. You may find yourself vividly remembering things from years ago or from infancy. Music sounds better and you get off more on less of other drugs. Eliminating refined sugar from the diet is a good thing to do. There are lots of helpful herbs and things.

Fish oil is a long term thing, not a drug that you feel right away usually. Sometimes people feel it within a few days but typically it takes weeks or months to kick in. Piracetam took me only a day before i started to feel it but most people it takes a few days to a week or two. The usual dose on pir is 2 to 4 gm a day. I take about 1/2 gm but it affects me more than some people. It's good stuff, i stocked up about a 6 year supply in case they ban it which they may. They are talking about banning all vitamins and supps but that's another subject.

Yeah, i take fish oil everyday and have for about 6 months. I haven't noticed any definate effects. However, i did run out last week for about 3 days and felt "drained." - I know it contributes to my well being, but not in a specific type of way.

Sounds brilliant. I might get a bit of adrafinil for energy because tyrosine doesn't seem to remedy my daytime drowsiness. Maybe its an accumulative thing though.

Might stock up on the stuff myself in that case. Banning all vitamins and supplements? I dunno if they'd get away with that but if they do then god help us all.

I feel it when I burp, I'm like "ooooh tastes fishy!"  I'm only taking one pill a day instead of the bottle-recommended two just so I don't have to refill it all the time.  I think I feel a bit less stressful than before when I took it, but I've also lowered my dose of Abilify.  Does piracetam have any common side effects or risks?  I don't think I'd take it, but it might be a good idea during like the month of finals.

I don't know about fish oil improving brain function, but it sure does do wonders for your good cholesterol. I have proof!

As was stated earlier, piracetam isn't an overnight brain booster. You need to take it regularly over a long-ish period of time.

I don't understand this line of thinking: Lets take a chemical and hopefully it helps me with my finals.

What if it doesn't, what if it fucks with your thought process or sleep schedule or diet, before finals?

Your better off adjusting your cognitive abilities when there is no risk, and maintaining a heightened state of mind in day to day life, therefor making you a better student who has increased ability to concentrate, retain and put out information. Dontcha' think?

Piracetam has been around and been studied since the 60's. It was originally a prescription drug but later was released for otc since it was so harmless. The worst side effects i've heard of are nausea or brain fog. The fog can be fixed by taking a choline source like i said. It might keep a few people awake but experiment with it because it has major benefits.

Fish oil is good for the brain, arteries, joints and other things. Google these things and see for yourself.

Magnesium is another good thing to take.
