psilocybe cubensis is a specific strain, i dont really get the question. Unless you're asking if anyone ever came across one that tasted good

I don't really see how they taste any different than any other raw mushroom.

If you don't like it raw cook it, quite a few people say that cooking doesn't destroy the potency.

this is rediciulous.  psilocybe cubensis is not a race or a strain.  its a fuckign species.  and although there are strains within cubensis with slightly varying phenotypes their physical properties dont vary enough to impact the way they taste.



imo they all taste like garbage.

All cubes taste good except if they're Sclerotia IMO.

for some reason I can't eat fresh mushrooms, trust me, I've tried on 4 separate occasions.  Every time I eat my mushrooms fresh I throw up an hour and a half later.  no reason, my stomach goes through convulsions and I just puke, trip though cause the actives get absorbed but then they make me puke out of the blue.

The first time I ate shrooms, they were fresh wild ones.
I ate about 12-14 of them that night.
I was told that they could make you yak
So I was gonna eat them till I yaked
Needless to say I never did.
I tripped balls for about 6-8 hours though

yea the puking part doesn't bother me,  I have a smile on my face, my stomach says get this fungus out of me and then I'm walking down my nature path with my friend tripping while I am projectile vomiting as people ask If I am alright, I say o yea, just don't feel like myself today as I grin and watch time and space warp.

fresh ones make me yak as well.  it's almost uncontrollable.  i can almost always hold down a puke session if i'm feeling queezy, but fresh mushies are a different story.  capsules are the way to go if you have a problem with puking.

I remember once eating wild shrooms with a buddy raw. They taste a WHOLE lot shittier when they are picked from shit.

Not to mention, I'm sure wild ones do have more bacteria and shit on them.

Anyway, I had horrible burps that night that smelled bad lol. My stomach didn't like them.

Homegrown dried cubes, eaten with a tad bit of chocolate tastes like chocolate though.

This hippy once sold me some mushrooms, I asked him how does he injest them(because I was used to picking wild and making tea), he said to buy a Hershey's bar and just eat them with a bite of chocolate in your mouth.

The chocolate REALLY helps with the taste, and it's an amazing snack :laugh:

Yea, but a cube is a cube.
The wild ones look just like the cultivated ones.
There are some that look kinda like a cube from a distance.
Upon close investigation it is easy to see if they are cubes or not.

You can't mistake a cube in the field
if you know what a cube looks like :wink:

Exactly, I remember the first days I ever went to look for them.
I used to always think you needed a professional to id its skin and spores under a microscope for proper id. Wrong.

PS: mushrooms turn you gay
