Carpentry Help!
    #10814819 -

Time for some Shroomery creativity!!!

I am in need of a stand/table that is about 16"Lx16"Wx35"H. It needs to be mad hecka sturdy. And it needs to be made as mad hecka cheap as possible! I have the tools! Now I need the ideas!

Onward, mush!

PS: this is to hold up my overhead projector so I can start doing some mural paintings; but for the overhead to project the images correctly, it needs to be about 35" high...

Why do you have the tools to make a table if you don't know how to make a table?

I can take pictures of  my work table. Built it like 15 years ago. It's been pounded on,sanded, sawed, drilled, caught on fire, and it still stands.

Honestly it's a table. I dont get what your asking? Use 2x4. Make 90 degreee legs with a gusset somewhere on each leg. X brace,or H( or series) of H braces under the actual Deck. You could make a drop brace off that and tie into your legs.

Anything really.

for just a projector I think a sheet of 1/2 in plywood with 4x4s cut to the desired height would do it.  It'd make a sturdy table unless this projector is like 400 lbs.

Alright, so here's my idea for the sweetest table ever....and yes I was high as shit while coming up with this with a friend.

First off you get a big as table top, and paint it gold.

Next you get some rod iron bars to act as the table legs, then you get something that looks crazy and mystical to cover them up; some painted foam and led lights, a big ass piece or rope you can fit the bar inside of....whatever, the more pliable and insubstantial it appears the better.

Next you make 4 paper machete cherubs, or gremlins, whichever you prefer. You're going to want to make them look like they're holding onto a rope trying to keep a blimp from floating away.

You attach the covered up legs to the table at angles, and you lead the base of them into the hands of the creepy little paper machete dudes.

It'll be awesome.:awesome:

Sorry this picture sucks, I just threw it together really quickly in photoshop to give you an idea...but think about it.

Oh, I also forgot, you'd need to equip the table with a good sturdy frame that connects to the legs on the underside. The key is keeping it all hidden so it looks like the little puppet dudes are keeping it from floating away.:tongue2:
