DMT, humbling beyond words.
    #10799287 -

Well to start off Ive smoked DMT about 4 times before this with less than adaquate spice. I finally got ahold of some nice white spice and decided that today I'd try it out. I had borrowed my friends vapor genie for the occasion. I packed alittle sage (your everyday herb for cooking) and then covered it in a thin layer of DMT. I don't have a scale but I'd guess it to be maybe 25-30 mgs. After much thought I opted for no music the first time testing this spice.

Now I always make sure to give my entheogens the utmost respect so I sat and meditated on the packed bowl for about 20 mins. I offered it up a "prayer" of sorts (which i learned to do with any entheogen im going to use) asking it to teach me. To teach me not what I want to learn or what I think I need to learn, but what it thinks I need to learn, if anything. I asked it to guide me in my life. I asked it to show me how to live better. Then, as I do with all my sacraments, I asked it to be gentle with my soul.

Once I had finally cleared my mind and felt that the time was right, I began to vaporize it. I had been nervous leading up to this. As soon as the vapor hit my lungs a warmth came over me and my worries immediatly vanished. I became focused on vaporizing as much as I could. I took in a volume of smoke, stopped, breathed it in deep, and kept going. I did this a third time and sat back.

The first thought that entered my mind was that maybe I should take another hit. I knew it was too late by then to do that and was sure that it was all vaporized anyway. This is the reason I say it was sub-breakthrough. Ive always heard that you will KNOW when its a breakthrough.

Anyways though, I was taken to a familiar place of flowing patterns and images. This was the most detailed I had seen it as the other spice I had used before wasnt as good. It still wasnt full force though. I feel that it could have been much more detailed though it was still awe inspiring. I did at one point, I think, sense an insectoid type presence but it was short lived. Most of my thoughts at the begining were of college and had I done something wrong. I decided that I had not or that it didnt matter now because it was too late, I'd already smoked it. I then felt as though I was apart of an endless eternal process. I felt as though I was being consumed by plants or something close to that. As if I were just like these plants. Just another living thing on this planet, no better than another. I realized all the games we play, all the games my friends play, and how theyre meaningless. How we get upset about such trivial things.

This then led me to another thought about marijuana, which is very sacred to me and I love greatly. I thought about how in my area we usually have to go into a bad neighborhood and deal with rather shady characters to get our marijuana. I realized that we must journey into the dark, face our fears, to obtain the sacred, to see the light. I had been nervous going into the experience as I usually am, but I realized there is nothing for you to fear but the fear itself (yea yea cliche, but its so true). I saw our travel into the hood to get our sacred herb, as a shaman going into the dark night to find his plants. He is not afraid for he knows that when he gets there it'll be worth it. Also its a total balance. The dark and the light, there isnt more of one than the other, because you cant have one without the other. It is the balance of the universe.

Thats what I learned from it, some other things I experienced include the machine like noise that is always heard. I felt the ball rolling in the back of the throat at one point (see hyperspace lexicon). At one point I felt a strange connection of space and time that seemed as though it is all happening at once and that all things are intrinsically connected and i felt the connection. I also went through a range of emotions quickly several times throughout it. They included fear, love, amazement, and thanks. The word that repeated through my head the most was "Thank You."

Thank you DMT for you have taught me so much and ask so little of me.
