ok so im looking over the benefits packet from work...

i read this, and had to reread it, but it ended up saying exactly what i thought it said...

"Prescription Benefit

oral contraceptives?!?!?!

my work insurance lets me buy oral contraceptives? what the fuck?!

I saw a commercial of a birth control shot that stops women from having periods...that just seems weird to me.

I didn't know the pill stopped them from having periods. The way they advertised it was like it was something new in the contraceptive world...shows how much I know about women.

Many insurance plans pay for prescriptions.  I wasn't joking about abortions either.  Don't you also get dental and vision and stuff too?

Health insurance pays for your health care.  Why wouldn't prescriptions be covered?

I don't know the exact stats, but I think a large percentage of women these days take a prescription contreceptive.  Not just for pregnancy, but because it decreases (or eliminates) symptoms and length of their periods.

lol ok, im high as fuck. i just realized oral contraceptives = the pill. i didnt really read the other posts that well.

i was thinking those mouth condom things. LMAO. i had to do some outpatient rehab thing earlier this year and they passed around those things. thats just what popped into my mind when i read "oral contraceptives" lmfao.

my bad. im just high as fuck.

They also give it to female kids to help with ADD and the like.Plus it keeps them from breeding moron children raised by children.

All birth control pills will stop you from having a period, provided you take them correctly. There is no medical need to have a period. I have not had one in a long time.

BTW, the insurance does not cover birth control. I have never known a plan to cover birth control. You are "allowed to buy it" but insurance will not cover any of the costs. Nor will most insurance companies cover routine screenings for most ovarian cancer, though oddly enough they cover screenings for testicular cancer.
