Or you could just do Linux or something..  I mean it is free..

I just don't buy this crap about macs being the all-mighty video/music editing machines.
I fail to see how they outperform PCs in that department unless we are talking about simplicity, there are hundreds of amazing programs for PCs.
And mac turns me off with all their exclusionary apple only software, iBook, iPhoto, iPod, iDildo, etc.
Not to mention macs are expensive as fuck. So if you are looking for the "best deal", I'd stay the fuck away from mac.
Not that they aren't good machines, I just don't see what's so great about them :shrug:
Mac people are all too quick to yell 'get a macbook they are the bestest!!', it's like some kind of club.
I go to any coffee shop in west hollywood and I see 15 people sitting their with their macbook pros. It's the "cool thing to do".
I don't really like them personally.. from my experience PCs are better.. but maybe that's just because I like upgrading my shit myself and have been using PCs my whole life mostly.

Not to mention that macs are no longer any different from pc's in terms of hardware, they run on Intels. You can just as well install OSX on a PC with superior specifications which you would pay less for. What it boils down to is aesthetics. If i had the money to throw around, i'd totally get a macbook based on looks alone, in the mean time gotta stick to somethign with a
