That's a bolete. Disect it and post pics. Also turn it around and take a pic of the pores, please.

I actually left it since it did not have gills. I am going out in a bit and will see if its still there. There were several of what I believed to be Amanita muscaria var. formosa right next to this. Hopefully the turtles didn't finish it.

Dude you ever seen a shiitake with pores anywhere?  LOL, ok, ok, enough ball bustin'.  I've been finding those yellow amanitas a lot too, just so you know, I think they may be var. guessowii or even persicina if they are slightly pinkish.  The jury is still out but I know Alan and weiliiiiiii have been keeping me on my toes with em.

You ever seen that movie Constantine.  Well they pass into hell several times.  In hell there are melting human bodies, in your tub are melting mushroom bodies.  Your tub had passed into mushroom hell.

Sorry...quick to jump the gun and this is only my 3rd day mushroom hunting. I have been doing heavy research on the amanita variety since that is what I seem to mainly find.

I may have thrown away several Amanita albocreata due to mistaken identity. See other post for pics.

These supposedly have the same toxins as muscaria. I wasn't aware that north ga had so many amanita varieties.
