i have had great success w/ a diet high in fruit, nuts, protien in the form of milk, powders, and chicken/fish. I eat little grains, probably 4 servings a wk. I eat 1500-1700 calories a day.

but I also eat very little junk food, never any fast food, and I exercise.

in 3 months I have dropped 4 inches off my waist and I am solid.

to the topic... all the fat vegetarians I know dont eat meat more for their feelings about the unethical treatment of animals, not b/c they give a shit about their own bodies. so they still eat salt and candy, etc.

You can be a vegetarian and still be a pig, eating doughnuts, cheese, ice cream, potato chips and pizza all day long. It's not the beef in your burger that makes you fat its the grease it was fried in and the cheese melted on top.

Fuck being a vegetarian. I feel bad for dying animals and all, but not eating them isnt gonna stop them from killing them. You just basically wasting the meat. My sister once tryed being a vegetarian with her friend and only made it like a few days before they started fainting and shit. Fuck that. Besides, i love steak.

I cant imagine a world with no meat....i mean, no bacon, steaks, fish, eggs, or any of that shit. Those are essential flavors! When im starving my ass off i think of a fat juicy steak, not a non appetizing head of lettuce. Its like taking all the joy out of life.

i tried the whole eating healthy and cutting carbs thing for a while and it just didn't work. then i started running a ton, and eating a LOT of food, and i've gotten into very good shape. i eat around 2.5k kcals a day now and run 3+ miles, and i'm down to a 28 waist/13 BMI where last year i was at a 32 waist/19 BMI.

so long as you are eating good food, you can still eat a lot and be very healthy. the key is EXERCISE.



Yep, you're so right.  Exercise is just as much a critical factor in health as diet is.

What kind of logic is that? I went veg to cut down on the demand for meat. Just because people do not want to stop eating meat, why contribute to something you don't believe in?

Something sounds odd about your supporting evidence anyway. You make it sound like vegetarians don't get any sugar in their diet or somehow deplete their amino acid pool and waste into fainting waifs in a few days.

People that don't eat meat aren't all that different than people that do eat meat. Some are healthy, some are excessive, some are fucking fat, some look like twigs. Your health does not entirely rely on eating animals.

I was a healthy vegetarian for a year.

I felt great , but also ate right lots of nuts and beans.

I never felt so good or was in such good shape.

I feel like everyone in this thread is either 16 years old or was born with Down's Syndrome.

#16: You've met the "type" of vegetarian that sucks down (what I'm assuming is) 2 liters of soda? Then you've met a dumbass, not a representative of vegetarians, or of a healthy diet at all. A lot of you are attempting to slam on a really large demographic of people because of your experiences hanging out with tards. If you're really that stupid and judgemental, you're going to meet with a lot of frustration in your life. Eating meat is not inherently unhealthy, but contrary to a lot of your beliefs, a vegetarian diet does not make you a weak, timid homosexual.
