Vegetarians are
    #9337023 -

The most hypocritical people on this planet. I find most people doing it as a fashion statement or if they have an eating disorder like bulimia. I would imagine chewed meat isn't so tempting to puke up.

What are your opinions on these type of people?

I don't know about hypocritical, maybe criticismical(wd?) people. My sister is a vegetarian but also a psychologist, so that's just a personal experience but she does criticize a lot.

Don't be a retard.  Humans are hypocritical in general.  What people choose to put into their own bodies has nothing to do with you.

Vegetarianism is healthy.  Meat is kind of bad for you, you know.  I personally eat a Mediterranean diet; some meat but mostly vegetables.  Vegans are the nutters, IMO.

That's funny, I too am a vegetarian psychologist! You should give me her number hah.

Most people don't know how the cow gets from the field to your table. The new method is lining up cows on a conveyor belt and sending them through what is basically a large electric chair that delivers an ubelievably painful and fatal electrocution. Now as the cows on the conveyor belt watch the front cow get fatally electrocuted, they (for lack of better description) freak the fuck out, naturally like any of you would do in the same situation. How do I know that the cows are aware of what's going on? PSYCHOLOGISTS, like myself, used bio-feedback to measure fear in this exact situation. The studies showed that indeed, the cows freaked the fuck out, and knew exactly what they were in store for.

It's changing all the time. These corporations find the cheapest way to slaughter, and use it, never considering a humane alternative.

I never preach anymore, just explain my reasons for being a vegetarian if people ask. The argument always goes in a circle back to "well goddamnit, meat tastes good so that's why I should eat it!" or the infuriating "God put animals on this earth to eat". Never have I heard an intelligent argument. So I'm excited to see what turns up on this thread. I like to play the philosophy game-- what if creatures came to this earth that were far superior than us (like humans to animals) and decided to farm US for meat. Would you submit to these creatures based on the same arguments YOU use to justify raising animals to eat??

Again, I don't preach this stuff, so i won't post a video. But I encourage anyone to find videos on the internet of what slaughterhouses really are like (there are plenty videos, and they clearly are not propaganda, simply educational).

Being against factory farming is a different ball game than being a vegetarian.  You can be against factory farming even if you do eat meat.  You would think somebody with a PhD would know that difference...

Definitely.

Some meat is good for you, Turkey & Salmon come to mind, but I'm not expert so maybe I'm wrong.

But as the person said above, who cares what other people put into their bodies? This statement goes both ways.

Btw, I am against eating meat (as well as factory farming)

I just figured I wouldn't get into the ethics of meat eating because it goes nowhere (think evangelicals arguing with athiests). I just stuck to factory farming because it's a good solid issue.

Also, I know others with doctorates that spell like 2nd graders. A degree doesn't make you the supreme overlord of everything.

In addiction, i'd like someone to truthfully state on this thread that they raise and kill their own cows (and always have).

Otherwise, factory farming is relevant to us all.

i dont understand why people eat plants, either. i mean, plants are living things, just like cows. I never eat meats, fruits, or vegetables, you can live entirely off of nutritional supplements. i like to blend mine together into a grey mush and slug it down, helps with the digestion.

I'm a vegetarian out of discipline. I try to eat simply. For me it has nothing to do with animals.

I know all about the shitty conditions that farm animals have and blah blah but my main point is that a lot of people who are vegetarian are phony niggers who still eat dairy, protest with peta and have pets. I just think a lot of vegetarians are hypocrites when trying to be a vegetarian peta activist.  Trust me. I would love nothing other than to live off a diet of raw foods with the ocassional fish or other sea food. But all these faggots being vegetarian because its cool or because its the fad at the moment piss me off and i wish they were ground up and served to pigs.

Just curious..What would there to be jealous of? I am an omnivore. I have the best of both worlds.

Not jealous of their eating habits obviously. It seems by your post you don't give a fuck about what they eat, you are more concerned with the social stigma attached to them.

Based on your attitude, and how you are reffering to them as "faggots" and "niggers," I am going to have to take an educated guess and say that as a child you were raped by a gay black man. Then maybe today you saw a black man ordering couscous, and you had some kind of horrible anger rush through you that you could not understand, and you posted here on the shroomery.

Cows are killing us slowly.

My buddy doesn't eat meat because he thinks of the living conditions of animals, and he doesn't like it one bit. Can you disagree?

You really suck at comedic psychoanalyzing. That wasn't even funny.
