Possible Ovoids in SE PA? (pics)

Not necessarily looking for an ID, as I haven't picked any of these yet. Just curious if these look promising.
They were growing in a deciduous forest in a water runoff area, some were growing directly from logs(not sure what kind of wood). Most were about 3-4 inches in height, cap diameter about 2 inches. Gills were lighter in color.
If these are worthy of further investigation I'll go back to the spot and grab a few for prints and a more detailed description

Ovoids are purple/brown in deposit. Be careful boss.
