It's monkey wrench in the engine, is what it is. This logic needs a little bit of tuning, IMO.
Throwing in PSP, which was never voted on and was specifically known to have attracted the attention of a handful of voters for Philosophy and Psychology, in the open discussion thread, effectively splits the vote that Philosophy and Psychology received a not so slim majority over all other options with.

It is mathematics, pure and simple. If it was warranted to give the late-entry Philosophy, Sociology, and Psychology a chance, which it obviously was, considering that it is still leading this poll, it would have been to run it off against Philosophy and Psychology, since it was known to take its votes. You've got to give people due representation for their interests in the title, or else you're just mismanaging the situation and not giving them what they want.

Why not expound a bit on key aspects of the discussion within the Philosophy branch? Its the truth about the forum, and there's room there for it to represent that fact, hopefully displaying to others that are more interested of that to look in that direction for those types of discussions. Sometimes you just have to advertise a little better.

Well, apologies for potentially skewing any results, but I figured that it would be better to give the people what they wanted in the form of a better alternative to Philosophy & Psychology in the form of Philosophy, Sociology, & Psychology, and the poll results do seem to convey that most people prefer that option to the original.
