anxiety

ive been suffering from "generalized anxiety disorder", "panic disorder" and "social anxiety disorder" for years. basically i always feel anxious and get panic attacks basically every single day. i am also a HARDCORE hypochondriac (self diagnosed of course) and i am seeing a new doctor on the 19th to try to get on some kind of medication. i wanna hear your experiences on what HAS and HASNT worked for your anxiety. also curious if anyone has used Phenibut or Kava for anxiety and how that worked. how about things like Buspar or other non-benzos? the only meds that have really helped my anxiety were benzodiazepines, but i dont wanna rely on them for the rest of my life, and they are very hard to get from docs in my area.

if you have a reliable source for soma/carisoprodol plz PM me as i have tried it and it does help, but its unlikely ill be prescribed it as its a muscle relaxer and not generally prescribed for anxiety...

they are gunna give you a benzo and you are gunna grow a dependancy to it.

I say you smoke trip your face off and overcome that shit son.

no but seriously, i have GAD and it sucks, i have panic attacks all the time and i am basiclally a slave to benzos now. I would try to overcome it without drugs IMO. It only makes it worse

i am planning on seeing a counselor/psychiatrist as well, i just need to find a good one, which is hard in my area. i know the dangers of benzos, i was physically addicted to klonopin at 16/17 and getting off it was horrible, but id rather be addicted to benzos and live a more normal life then not take benzos at all and be a slave to my anxiety. i dont wanna get addicted again, but if worse comes to worst ill just taper off again and deal with it. i really would like to look into alternatives to benzos tho, if anyone can recommend some good ones. thinking of trying Phenibut, but heard it only works for mild anxiety, and Kava but i dont know any reliable sources on fresh Kava.
