Also I would suggest either drinking a couple beers before smoking or combining with benzos.  Works wonders.

Same for me, same reason I don't smoke anymore. Once after coming down from E way too early at a rave (short pills), I got extremely high from a smoke out... things were fine until I started to sense the tiniest thing was wrong. Once that starts I can't control it. Logic has thrown out the window. If there is about .00002 percent chance that what's in my mind is real, even though it isn't even really bad and in reality who gives a crap, I go down that .00002 percent chance road. I have to and I don't even have a choice, that's how much marijuana skews my reality.

I'm a lot more susceptible to being confused, and I'm a thinker, and of course not understanding is the beginning of fear..

anyways it'd be chill and all if I could smoke whenever and have it be as nice and relaxing and fun as it is for the stoners, but since it's not that way I've accepted it and don't smoke much at all anymore. It's just not worth it to me.

IME my anxiety attacks always happened if I was in a highly stressful situation and my breathing became shallow and short, for an extended period of time. Once the attack started I could get it under control by controlling my breathing.

Try focusing more on your breathing the next time you are high and see if that helps

I'll try that the next time I smoke, whenever that is... it'll be after I start working on my breathing during meditation :smile: so I should have some sort of grip on it... hopefully

cannabis relatively helps with my anxiety. it makes things much easier, slows me down, etc. thats a bad case though man. hope you figure things out. :thumbup:

It can go either way for me.  I find though that it's a mirror of my sober state; if I'm really stressed out then maybe smoking isn't the best idea.

some strains are better than others some are just straight out bug-the-fuck-out strains that will  make even the most heavy smoker bug

yeh if you get the chance go to amsterdam at a festival you learn how they are grown, what traits they breed them for, and also how they smoke and how they feel for you without worrying about being thrown in prison because of a harmless plant.

Also it's metaphor for knowing things you aren't really encouraged to know in a draconian system that prohibits people from growing a plant and studying it.

I got into a bit of a funk for a while with smoking. I kept getting really bad paranoia and just having a bad time with it.

I realized recently after making some new friends and smoking with them that it wasn't the weed, it was the people I was hanging out with. Now all my problems with smoking are gone.

This happened to a friend of mine a year or two ago.  All of a sudden, he started getting bad panic attacks after smoking (not every time, but often enough to seriously disrupt his functioning). Before that, I thought that some people just got panic attacks because they couldn't handle the weed; the idea that even a stable long-term toker could end up getting panic attacks really threw me for a loop!

He ended up having to take a couple months off (it took weeks to get used to not passing the bowl to him when we were smoking), but once he started again he didn't have any problems, the panic attack issue just went away.

Appalachian State where I went this year is a total stoner school.  Soooo much weed, and it's got a really cool southern hippie vibe to it.  It's actually kind of annoying because the weed is so good here that sometimes if you want mids for whatever reason, you actually can't find it.  But smokin those Ashevilled headies never really gets old so I can't complain :bigblunt:
