Phentibut - Extremely effective at relieving anxiety, used in Russia since the 60's. Related to gaba in structure, but it appears to have a very steep tolerance curve. I can vouch for its effectiveness, though I'm not sure of tolerance as I have not used it long enough.

Take to much and you'll be sleeping the entire next day though, be seeing double, and have a blinding headache. Potentiats alcohol.
Really will be a shame if it starts becoming uneffective, seems ill have to cycle it.
Kratom is also effective, but in a much more sedative type of way.

Kratom or opiates, but I wouldn't advise either for long term usage.

This is true. Although I've seen it go both ways. Too many factors, it definitely depends on the person.

I get stoned and start freaking out about stuff I have to do, then go on a rampage of completing tasks that I should do..clean the dishes, clean the room, go to the bank.
Weed is like a stimulant for me, it makes me feel like I should be doing something

if you're trying to relieve anxiety it's best not to, a tea of kava kava, lemon balm and willow bark (it's a mild pain reliever as well as relaxant) would be much more beneficial

Here are your options as I see them:
Therapy - Get your girlfriend to talk to someone and sort out her anxieties that way. I have anxiety too and I can't tell you how effective this is. Professional therapy is the best, IMHO, but to each their own. It might not work for your girlfriend, anyway.
Herbal Remedies/Placebos - I've tried the herbal route before and I've been less than impressed. Basically all you're doing is buying an expensive placebo. If you disagree then so be it. Placebos can be effective I guess.
SSRI's - I find that 'open minded drug users' are completely against this. "It alters your brain chemistry, what if it turns me into a monster? What if it changes who I am..." But how often do you hear someone saying that before eating a eighth of mushrooms , a blotter of acid or a hit of MDMA? None! SSRI's work. That's all there is to it. I used to have 2-3 panic attacks a day before I got perscribed Paxil and now I'm panic attack free and off of paxil for over two years. I'm still the same person and I'm better for it. But Paxil is not my favorite SSRI and I would suggest Zoloft if you have the option.
I went the SSRI route because I had severe anxiety. If your girlfriends anxiety is trivial then I highly suggest getting her to see someone and talk through her issues.
I hope some of this helps! Take care of her

Nootropics are not placebos - just relatively un-charted territory

where do you think drugs come from, scientists dont just shit out pills and replicate them, acetylsalicylic acid is derived from salicin which is found in willow bark. thank the placebo pushing injuns for that one.
