boy it's always fun to read a thread titled "will i die?" i never understood why some people are so desparate for mushrooms that they are willing to experiment with possibly contaminated ones. from the sounds of it, you only have one cake that has mold, so why not play it safe and throw it out? personally i wouldn't try to grow mushrooms on anything that even looked REMOTELY contaminated.. but that's just me.. guess i'm not willing to risk my health or possibly my life for a few measly mushrooms.
