"remains of a mossy log."

not libs.  albino libs would probably prefer the same habitat as regular ones.

not a wood lover, those libs.

try conocybe?
who knows.
good luck.
peace

I know exactly what mushroom you're talking about and it's growing out of the perfect habitat for that particular mushroom, unfortunately not for libs. There's a few differences, a big one being that these white mushrooms lack the viscid pellicle common to liberty caps (little membrane holding the cap together that looks kind of like a soft contact lens). Also, they won't bruise blue, and the spore print is a different color and they grow in the woods and aren't active. They're cute though. Look for liberty caps in pastures with or without cows...cows preferred. Mucho luck

Probably Mycena judging by the habitat. Are the gills white ?

Liberty Caps can appear very light if they have been bleached by the sun.

However, due to their situation this is unlikely. Also, if the gills are white, NO. Just no. Unless they are albino, but that is so unlikely I wouldn't take any chances.
