MycoBag colonization %
    #1024200 -

hey everybody...i have 2 of 4 mycobags that are doing quite well (2 down to contam. i'm sure it was a bad syringe, cause i was sterile...lotsa alch & lysol...oh well)...my question is that the 1 mycobag appears to be pretty much fully colonized. white ALL over. only a couple places here & there arent white, and those are tiny & about pin head size (sewing pin-head). well, it's been this way for a couple days and i was wondering if i could give it light & inniciate pinning yet? i innoculated from the INSIDE CENTER of the substrate, so it grew from inside-out. people always say wait an extra week to colonize the center of the cake, but from innoc'ing inside-out, would it be ready when it appears 100%? thanks!

if your bag "has white ALL over"... then it is 100% colonized so you can expose it to light... this will initiate pinning..
i think i answered your question..didn't i ?

You can give it light, but it may not do anything for at least a week. the mycelium could still be spreading and strengthning. Also if your going to fruit in side the bag, wrap the sides and the bottom of the bag in tin foil, so only the top of the substrate is getting light. If you don't you'll get pins in the sides of the bags and it'll be growing down and sideways.
