Can someone figure out wtf is goin' on here?

Hello

one of my casings have a bad time. :frown: the shrooms are growing really slowly, and they seem to have fat asses and reach maturity while still are very small [the one in the background]

also, on the base of their stems, its fuzzy, but its not like somethin else is on top of them but they seem to be just fuzzy. none of my casings have ever shown such signs, so i am a bit puzzled. the casing had signs of cobweb mold when pins were at sight and i solved the problem by injecting 10ml of H2O2 everyday for 2 days in various places [not in the surface but inside].

the strain is GT - i am fanning good and well and humidity is okee

Never seen casings like that before ! (looks more like square brf cake with some brown shit spread ontop - i'm guessing coir).

The whole thing looks very dry to me. The fuzz around the base of the shrooms is common and perfectly natural. Is this the first flush ?

I think that the casing is too wet. I don't think the would fat arse like that if it was too dry, the mycelium on the base of the fruits is another indication of high moisture content.

yeap its the first flush and the first time i see this kind of shroomy behavior :wink: lol

my H2O2 injection definately made the casings more wet than they should. i just didnt know that fat asses and hairy bases are signs of that. i will proceed further with them, with this in my mind.

Here's what I think you should do to solve your little problem, stop whatever means of humidification you are using for a couple of days. Then once it looks alright again, start with humidification again.

The fuzz is ok, but should look even fuzzier. If you notice, it has a wet look to it. The strands are stuck together. This is a sign of too high of humidity. The fuzz should be soft like a satin sheet and look like velvet.

well this is my first casing with coco coir. all my casings before were done with vermiculite, so i havent noticed up today the white fuzz on the bottom.

i cut the big one because the cap was already open as you see on the pics, and it blued like crazy on the bottom where i touched it! lol

Joshua, i am thinking that the H2O2 injection i made helped the casing after all, because the cobweb mold wouldnt let it survive. now i am thinking, will injection of H2O2 will help those definately-aborts-to-be to make their asses fatter [due to absorbsion of the water] and then force them to be taller? that  kind of behavior was observed with those 5 shrooms you see on the pic. they looked like aborts to be and my injection made them fat asses. then i stopped and they grew up quick like this, as they should :smile:

Next time you think you may have cobweb, spray your casing with a peroxide/water solution ( 1:20). I've tried it a couple of times and it has seemed to work alright.

Them sure are BIG!!! Not too shabby, how big are they (inches)? I had some amazons that looked like that, they were huge fuckers, near 9 inches, I know thats not HUGE, but its a good size. (hehehehe sounds like I'm talking about my pecker and not my mushrooms)
