H2O2 misted on blueish cake?

My two cakes in their first flush are really blue on one side (the one the most exposed to misting). I'm convinced it's not contamination, as it's the same blue as psilocin oxydation when hurt. It could also be penicilin as I read on some posts?
Shall I mist them with H2O2 once? If so, how shall I do?

If it was penicillin (Green Mold) your cake would stink like hell, and I would not recommend eating flushes off that cake. But by the sounds of it, its only bruising, so you should be fine. Just remember if it stinks get rid of it. Good Luck

OK. But can you explain why they are bruising whereas they haven't been touched in anyway, and only on one side (the most exposed to misting)? And I'm wondering if the blue is or is not slowly going all around the cakes...
::I smelled them: nothing special.
I didn't know green mold = penicillin

the blue is either bruising from being touched. or they are getting dehydrated and need water.
try injecting some sterile water into them with a sterile syringe. I bet they will turn white again.
Or you can harvest them and dunk the cakes in water.

Well, how much H202 did you put in your spray bottle? I'm not sure, but excess H202 may possibly be what is causing the bruising? Also have they been touched? How about when they were birthed, perhaps one side got forced up against the side of the jar? Nevertheless, they should be fine if the're just bruised.

I use 1:10 of 3% peroxide to water.

Ive used straight 3% H2O2 on my shrooms...and it hasnt seemed to have too much of an adverse effect. (Except Im getting this blueing thing too...in a chamber that has near 100% humidity.) Could COLD temps (Like between 50, and 70 degrees) cause blueing? The cakes seem to be fruiting...albiet a bit slowley.
I had ONE cake that had cracked, and turned a darkish yellow while in the jar. I contemplated throwing it out, but I decided to use it for experiements. I have a "quarentine" "sick ward" chamber for this...well away from the others.
I put that cake (And another one that seemed to have a similar cantam/problem, but not as bad, and still cracked) in little containers and filled them to almost covering them with straight 3% H2O2, and let them soak for a day and a half....And a third cake that looked a little "funky" with maybe the same contam (Although i have suspicions that it might be extreme "mushie piss" (Anyone got a pic of that?) The third cake I hosed down a couple of times with H2O2...ALL three ckaes are now growing healthy white mycelium...even growing into the cracks, and one of them is timidly pinning...But they will stay in the sick ward untill ...well..just untill.
So back to the blue, but fruiting cakes...should I inject some sterile water into them? Maybe Ill do that to one, and see what happens.
