Yikes! Help! (spore soloution)

50 mls of spore solution was made from a "wild" print of GT's four weeks ago. Made in gerber jars, cleaned and sterilized using distilled water, PC etc. Checked on today. Their full of mycellia! (by the way, this is better colonization than was obtained attempting the dextrose tek a couple times, a complete failures...weird..) Not a huge mass or any thing, just several little clouds floating around, but looks just like the dextrose tek pic i saw at mycotopia, only dextrose wasn't added...
Definitely not contams, can see clusters of black specks of spores in the middle of the "clouds" of mycellia. 2 pf jars were innoculated with this solution 3 days after it was made. to test for contams. They took like 7 days to show ANY signs of germination, but since have been doing fine 40% colonized.
Anyway , why did these spores in solution germinate? There is no nutrients in distilled water...should the solution be considere "safe" for further innoculations?
How long will it be viable considering its already germinated? I just dont get it...

Maybe the spores carried some nutrients (???)

Liken a spore to a seed. You can put a seed in a wet paper towel and germinate it. The same is true for spores. They can germinate using existing spore mass as energy to initiate germination, but w/o further nutrition will not grow past the germination stage.

I had a syringe like that once. I just shook the syringe until the mycelium ball was broken up, injected it in, and everything turned out great.
