Leadership.......it could be you!
    #10082054 -

We dont need a thinker!.....we need a DOer; someone who will act without considering the consequences!
-Homer Simpson

Look around you gentlemen! Look at the world in which you have been placed. The only limit you have is your physical body, thats it! I see a world were people are confused, lost, and constantly running into dead ends. This in turn leads to desperation.......people need answers. This breeds ideas like religion, something allot of you aren't fond of.

But what i wanna bring to light is Leadership. So many of us have a voice. The ability to speak our minds and use our words for important endeavors. So many people stay silent. They are scared of what the group might think of them, perhaps fearing isolation, violence, or embarrassment. I urge all of you to use your voice. Actually educate yourself and have important matter's to say. Stand up for what you know to be right. Im not saying go voicing your personal agenda's like an overconfident asshat. But what I am saying is if you see something that requires you to speak up......if that little voice inside you has something to say, then say it!

To many idiots in this world have confidence, and thats dangerous. When morons have the ability to speak their minds thats when we are in trouble. Look at our politicians  when was the last time someone important that you see on tv was followed due to heroics, or had some slight bit of true wisdom. While not all of you into politics or law, it doesnt mean you cant be a leader. While i may not agree with Hitler's approach of views, he was a damn good leader. Hitler is a perfect example what the right voice and willpower can accomplish. Imagine if someone like Hitler focused his power for the greater good  A single washed up WWI veteran had the power to shake the fucking earth , and so can you!

You may not be destined to lead the world, or become famous. But perhaps someone you voice your thoughts towards will impact a future leader of the world. Stand up for your beliefs, your wisdom, and dont be afraid to stand up to others who need a talkin to. There is plenty of polite ways to tell people "Fuck off"

I don't think politicians, in general, are stupid. But their primary goal is to remain in office, and that often entails illogical policies, like voting against marijuana decriminalization.

Politicians usually side with the majority, and if the majority are misinformed, slack-jawed yokels who buy into eighty year old propaganda ..

I don't think we drug users would be able to incite magical change, either.  We may hold the more logical stance on some issues -- like marijuana and other illicit drugs, all fueling the black market, drug cartels, etc -- but we've all got our biases and logical imperfections.

The status quo is a powerful foe. I think it's stood its ground against reason pretty well so far.

Tea, Im with you all the way.

I have nothing to add except that.. well.. people are probably a bit afraid of saying what needs to be said. Not just scared of what other people think of them.. but scared of being killed for it.

I have always been someone who says what I feel needs to be said. As I have grown I have started working out how I can use my voice on a larger scale than my peergroup or extended community, on a global scale. IT has come apparent to me that there are a lot of VERY POWERFUL PEOPLE who require the world to keep churning along in its confused sub-hysteria. These people's only job is to ensure that other people cannot rise to meet their level of influence. IF you want to change the world, you are going to have to do it over a long period of time, slowly building influence that is not associated with you until you know it is large enough to have support of not just the people who agree with you but also the support of the conservative sheep. You cant do this if you straight out oppose their way of life, because they will instantly brand you blasphemous.

But people today.. we have no 'paradigm' regarding respect... and people often dont see the value in entertaining your opposition's way of life. Only a voice that speaks in a way that all people can agree with is one that can be heard by all people. This might seem impossible.. but i dont think it is. I think people just arent aware enough of their own values to be able to start entertaining values that they disagree with... in the end we are all human and we all are justified.. there is no absolute wrong or right... only 'agreement' and 'disagreement' regarding wrongs and rights.

from an objective point of view, a person cant be doing something 'right' or 'wrong'. They are merely doing things, and these things are wrong to some people and right to other people.

Two people can disagree because they have different values, or alternatively they might have same values but different reasoning styles.

We are at a stage in human culture where we can only really discuss things as 'right and wrong' as opposed to being relevant to a context.

This is probably because we run the risk of justifying things that we previously thought was absolutely wrong...

This is the fear I have of finding the truth. It seems that the truth cares not for what is right and wrong... and the truth is power.. it can be used for any end. IT is likely that the truth would make immoral acts seem no different to moral ones, and this is likely to be an abused truth.

But the conclusion of almost all of my explorations into the theoretical future is that we need to loose a lot before we can grow. We have grown into our support a whole bunch of errors and assumptions that we cannot simply remove. We have to kill off that with subsists off these errors and that means killing off a lot of other good stuff before we can regrow the roots of a more stable, global philosophy

Humans are the only animal that will follow an emotionally unbalanced leader.

All other animals respond to balanced strength for survival purposes.

Humans are this weird political system. They are all pack issues of power and control within our species. Think about it.

... i though you were talking about the way we chose politicians as our leaders.

If youre talking in most general situations, then..

Humans, in general, are no different to other animals - dominance is shown by proving influence. A mammal might be supreme because they are strong, or fast, or large, or can take lots of hits, or it might be because they simply look tough, or 'bark the bark' so to speak.

Usually, the people who lead are indeed good leaders.. unless youre talking about modern society.. and humans are not modern society; modern society is a particular interaction between humans in the modern environmental structure.

Humans create modern society from within not without. It's not something that happens to us but something we are that is happening.

That's nice.  Been there, done that, got some wasted time to prove it.

I have no reason to "speak up" because I'm not interested in changing anything.  I don't want to change other people, the government, or anyone's ideas about anything.  If someone attempts to take advantage of me I have my own ways of dealing with it.  Aside from that, I like to live and let live.  I like conversation and discussion, sometimes with others who look at things differently.  If I feel like raising a dissenting voice, I'll speak up, but only for entertainment.  Attempting to change someone, even their ideas, is usually a lesson in frustration.

Why frustrate yourself?

I find sometimes i get emotionally charged and feel a need to interject on others who do things i disagree with.

For example: a girl at work, who listens to horrible music - works me up, and i cant help but tell her that she listens to soulless crap.

Your approach is the way to be, in my mind, Mr. Mushrooms + it is infact how i used to be.

I am not sure why i became so emotionally effected by other people in the recent past. I much prefer to observe and react.

Well it would be appropriate to say that some humans are this political system at the moment. Not only are there multiple other cultures on the earth at the moment, living life as they have for many generations, but the political systems of the west are not necessarily going to last forever.

Thus I think it is innapropriate to generalise the state of some humans around at the moment to 'Humans' as a whole, unless there was some impetus in humans that leads them to this state from different scenarios... which there appears not. Rather, a string of contingencies led to the political world we know of today
