    #1007223 - 10/30/02 05:09 PM (21 years, 4 months ago)

hello the other day i grated up my 1 pint B+ cakes and spawned some poo and its 3 days later and its colonizing like crazy fast, like the hole pan is 90% colonized but all the mycelium is really fluffy which i think means my humidity is too high but they are just sitting in my closet in a rubbermaid tub, so what should i do is everything ok. help please i am total newbie

While you are colonizing a bulk substrate, it should not be in a humid container until it is ready to be fruited.

I like my mycelium fluffy.

I like my wimmins furry and big-bottomed and stankey.

I like my coffee light & sweet.

I like my cars big & old with rust spots on the back fenders, so

I like Plymouths, mostly 'Cudas, especially the early Valiant type with tires that look too small.

I like Bill Clinton, and miss his horny ass 'cause the money was good back then.

I like all the Thai strains.

I like weed, in doobie form, like a man.

I like those A-10 Warthogs, and Puff the Magic Dragon, and any other airborne device that can throw thousands of rounds a minute into those treacherous heathens, and even though I believe in peace, I would turn Iraq, N. Korea and Saudi Arabia into the world's largest perpetually self-lit glass-topped parking lots, and I'd park my 'Cuda on what used to be Bagdad and blow a massive spleef and wank my willy over Saddam's grave.

I like tangents and taking ridiculous, jingoistic positions to their utmost extremes.

I like dogs. Any kind. They're better than we are.

I like the Jersey Shore.

Okay, I'm done now.

Just like that.

I would think that it would need to be eh? If it weren't in a relativly humid environment the bulk substrate would dry out. ??? Now I'm confused.

If its in a closed or semi-closed environment, the substrate itself will provide adequate moisture. Excessive moisture could lead to problems with slow colonization and contams

Are you sure it's not cobweb?
Cobweb mold is fluffy and kind of grey, and grows really fast. 3 days sounds way too fast for colonisation.

i dont think its cobweb its pure white and looks fine, and i used a high spawn to dung ratio. my jars showed the same fluffyness with no signs of contams except one jar which i threw out. so what im sayng is should i try to lower humidity, but i dont know how cuz its just sittin in my closet not even in a incubator. i live in northwest florida and its always real humid inside and out, there is a thermometer/humidity meter in my living room and it never goes below 90% so i dont no what to do.
