those commercials about speaking up when your friend is driving like an idiot

of all of the commercials aimed at teens, i think this is by far the best and most useful. i know when i was a teen, there were many bad situations that were avoidable, if only i/someone had spoken up.

i remember being in a friends car, a total of five of us, driving on the interstate in a monsoon of a rainstorm. the driver, we'll call him E, was driving over 70mph in heavy traffic. constant hydroplaning, but he kept driving faster. i'm in the back passenger seat. i look over at the car to my right, and i see that we are only inches from each other. the lady driving the other car is freaking out because we are so close. i yell "E, we're about to hit this bitch!" right then we hydroplane and start spinning. 360 after 360, we slide from the fast lane into the median, and back up into the oncoming lane. everytime we spin, i see an 18wheeler coming at us, closer and closer. right then, another friend M, says "oh shit, we're dead". luckily, just before it hits us, we bounce back into the median, just missing the oncoming traffic. we finally come to a stop in the ditch in the median. all of this could have been avoided if one of us had spoken up. thank god we didn't have to learn that lesson the hard way.

the point of all of this is: if you know you're in a bad/stupid situation, don't wait until its too late to speak up.

Evertime I have spoke up ,the driver proceeded to drive more eratic to prove he was in controll.:nonono:

I was 16 just 2 years ago dude, I didn't need anyone to tell me how to do something. It's just common fucking sense to not drive wrecklessly.

By the way, who the fuck are you to call an old lady who's respecting traffic laws a bitch? You're a fucking little punk ass bitch is what you are. I CAN'T stand people like that, " were about to hit this bitch".

i fucking hate that.  ive always prided myself on being a realy good driver.  more than anything tho, its fucking pathetic that people behind the wheel dont take into consideration the responsibilty they have over the lives of others.  if your driving alone and wana be a douche, fine, but still, ur jeopordizing other drivers.
ive been in so many rides where the driver was just a fucking prick for being so carefree about it.  stupid ass kids that laugh after coming up from picking up a dropped cigarette off the floor to see they almost ran off the road.
and man fuck people that shrug u off when u tell them u are uncomfortable with their driving.
ive got one friend that has to look at you while talking and driving.  ill be staring at the road, the whole time hes turned towards me talking....im like, bro i can hear u, watch the road.  and hell like laugh and be like, o, u worried im gona crash, dude im fine.  pisses me off.  same kid calls me up proly once every couple months with a new story of a guardrail he sideswiped or a sign he took out.  always bitchin about the damage done to his car from stupid lil accidents.  i just look at him and say, dont tell me about it dude.  he acknowledges it but he still dont take it as serious as he should.
sometimes i realy think they should raise the driving age.  or at least make stricter rules to get one.  too many dum ass kids, and older people too drivin like fukin idiots!
