Hey all, great site. I'm your newest newbie and I'm very enthusiastic to learn about my new hobbie! Just slap me around a bit if I ask too many stupid questions.

While contemplating my first foray into mycology, I've been searching for the right growing method for me. Is there a comprehensive tek listing outlining a wide range of growing procedures?

Yup, go to the grow/find section of the shroomery, then go to mushroom cultivation. Then choose from there. Its all there, so enjoy and welcome to the shroomery!! I suggest the MMGG-magic mushroom growers guide. It is the best method for a beginner of mushroom cultivation. Good luck, its a really cool hobby:)

Thaks for your replies.

I guess what I'm really looking for is a comprehensive guide to fruiting chambers and fruiting methods. The FAQs I've seen usually describe one or two at a time. However, I am constantly coming across new methods I'm interested in.

I guess I should stop looking for the perfect method and put some energy into preparing a quality method.

How is that page any different than the Grow/Find->Growing->Growing P. Cubensis section of the shroomery in pertaining to what you are looking for?

Actually, after searching your link some more, I could have just as easily given you the big "BINGO" as well, so two toots for you. However, so far it seems that the mycotopia tek link has some of the specific teks I had wanted more info on.

Anyway, I make no qualm of the fact that I have much, much more to learn and need to invest alot of time reading up. However, "read through all the growing info there then read it again" is not realistic. Nobody here has read all that their is to offer. Be satisfied that I'm asking you for these links instead of for the most commonly disseminated information within them.

Get some good books. Avoid the videos like the plague. Can't beat the books for the knowledge. One old video I saw had the guy using agar sectors that were alongside the petridish. And this was a video for newbies in the '80s. Though its fun to actually see...
