 Honey Water Cloning VIA 9er tek? Moe? Anno?

OK, I am basically following this TEK:

I sterilized the blnder parts, selected a nice shroom.
What I have done is instead of using just straight water, I put a glop of honey in it, and then sterilized it in a PC like described in the above 9er tek.
This will create a nice honey water innoculant, correct? The mycelium from the shroom stem will be able to eat off of the honey in the water, and grow, correct?
Near the bottom of the 9er tek page it says something about the shroom water being able to be stored and last for a week, or it has gone bad in two days. Is this because of contams? Or because the mycelium doesnt have any food? If after I have my jar full of honey-water-mycelium then couldnt I just shoot some H2O2 into it and maybe keep it viable and contam free for a while longer?
Has this been tried before? I searched the FAQs and the forums but couldnt find any definate answers or good solid info.
Moe? Anno? Anyone? Cast some light on this? I would really like to have some feedback or ideas on this.

Hmmm, yes.

Yes, but the mycelium has available nutrients anyway, in form of the rice or any substrate you are going to use. So there really isn?t a NEED for honey at this point, but I don?t say it won?t work this way.
As for storing mycelium water:
I use it myself, I prepare it according to http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/7943 , and then I pull the syringes and they keep in the fridge for 3 months without problems.

i don't know why it wouldn't work, the tissue should colonize honey just as it would any other substrate, and honey water is supposed to last a month in the fridge .
i have a similar experiment in progress . except, i started with a wild spore print .
i put 2 beer soaked cardboard squares, and some glass chips in a 1/2 pint jar , put a nail hole in the lid, and sterilized .
then i streaked the cardboard with the spores .36 hrs at room temp and we have germination . im going to wait a bit for them to grow, and inject karo water with h2o2 .

when using the mycelium water tech...can you use a colonized brown rice cake instead of the rye one?

The problem with the cake is that the vermiculite will clog your syringe. I tried it and it does?n?t work well at all.

to breakup the mycelium when i shake the jar .
