Neglect Tek: Does it work?

Has anyone tried the hippie neglect tek described on the PF site? and are the yeilds as good as or better than cakes?

Why don't you try it and see for yourself?

Yep, it works.  I know a brown beaver who used it for his second, third, and fourth flush.  He didn't do it exactly as in the tek - he just let the jar sit upside down on the table, getting plenty of light durring the day, occasionaly unscrewing the jar completely for a breath of fresh air.

He couldn't tell me about the flush weights, as he plucked and ate straight from the cake withough weighing.  :tongue:

Well.... he has six cakes going now. this is his first grow independently so he thinks he'll test with these 1st 6: 2 cased, 2 traditional PF cakes, and 2 neglect tek.

My friends step-dad's coral snake just did this neglect tek http://www.mycotopia.net/discus/messages/5/7618.html?1012857760 and it is working great. It is having bigger flushes than his pet rat did in his terrarium. You can't go wrong with a case but as far as cakes go he really likes that tek. Very low work involved, just dunk and put in the jar and put on your closet shelf and wait for those babies to come. No spraying or fanning. Two thumbs up! Go with these bigger jars, the snake belives you get better results than keeping them in the 1/2 pint jars.

i feel neglect tek is right for most people...its brainless. dunk for 12 hrs after first flush....cakes will give off 3-4 flushes invitro.....just clean/srape them well or the stumps and tissue you didnt harvest of the cake will rot....not good.

So basically, he could just leave them in 80 degree weather for about a month or so and they'd be ready for a 1st flush? is that right?

Don't knock it until you try it. My clownfish told me that it works very good.
