Another god damn hippy!

Dude you don't NEED to have one, but people want to have them for hunting and for shooting at the range as well as protection. Assault rifles don't destroy lives, humans destroy lives and if they don't use an assault rifle they'll use something else.

There is no way to keep weapons out of the hands of unstable and ill people.

american should should honor unless of course you oppose owning

600 million firearms in the united states, more than 7 million
of those are 'assault weapons', just what is the percentage of
these guns that are used in any sort of crime? what's the
percentage used by kids and teens that got a hold of them, this
argument of yours has no basis in reality, the reality is I take
my 4yo daughter out to shoot a BB gun, I teach her how to shoot,
teach her gun safety and that any firearm including the BB gun
is a dangerous device just as I was taught just as most gun
owners are teaching their kids

so really, what happens when kids get their hands on a gun

Good point. I have access to any weapon in the world, from assault rifles to rocket launchers, because of the people I know and if I didn't know them, I could meet people like that any time. Banning assault weapons only takes them out of the hands of law abiding citizens. Thanks to the war on drugs and other idiotic american policies, anyone that wants can illegally obtain just about any weapon.

I'm not a fan of assault weapons, but I don't think they should be banned. That would be against the constitution. I'm also not a fan of legally obtaining weapons because retail prices are retarded.

people don't understand that the exact POINT of having an AW is because of their capacity to take many human lives. THATS THE FUCKING POINT. that way, when u have a tyrannical govt, you can band together with your neighbors and like minded people and take your freedoms back from an encroaching govt. that's the 2nd amendment's purpose.

and i don't think for a second there won't be thousands of US soldiers that will tell their CO's to fuck off and join the resistance against tyranny. US SOLDIERS (most of em) support the CONSTITUTION and their OATH, NOT the bullshit orders their CO's give them.

Another thing I'll add after re-reading some of the posts is that I think some people here are confused and think that the term "assault weapon" is referring only to fully automatic weapons, which it is not.  It can, but it mainly just refers to semi-automatic rifles and some handguns with the ability to use high capacity magazines.

that all depends on wos definition you wish to go by, if we want
to play that game then the term ARMS can also refer to fighter
jets, nuclear warheads, surface to air missiles, shoulder fired
rockets, etc... it's the media that put the 'big scary gun' into
the same category as assault weapons and also placed nukes in
the category of arms so to quote niteowl, I want my nukes

arms at the time of the wrighting of the constitution meant the
weapons of war, there were no restrictions on whom could own
what, if I wanted a cannon I could have a cannon, contrary to
what silversoul has claimed, in fact as expressed in a previous
video and laws of this nation I'm still entitled to own the
artillery... do these people look like the army?

I'm a bit confused, were you disagreeing with my post, pris?  (I see what you are saying, but don't really see the relevance to what I posted)

I was just trying to say that some people in this thread are saying things about assault rifles being extremely dangerous because the can take out a bunch of people at once, sounds like they are assuming that the term, when used by politians and the media, is referring to only fully automatic weapons.  When they are not, they are also (and mostly) talking about rifles like AR15's and WASR10's and the like.  I probably should have said assault rifles instead of the blanket term of weapons, my bad. 

And yeah, even the term "assault rifle" is a made up term that the media came up with to attempt to demonize certain guns, and the politians obviously loved it and ran with it.  Makes them sound very scary and dangerous...

Its working too, look at all the people just in this thread alone that buy into the hype and think all the criminals are running around with hi-cap "assault" rifles committing crimes like its the wild west, when we all know most gun crimes are committed with handguns and most criminals get their guns from the black market anyway, so a ban would only affect the law abiding citizes, NOT the criminals.

The fact is hunters dont use assault rifles..... the second amendment isnt for hunters. Its for us to protect our country as the people. City people hate guns, country people love them. Thats just how it is. I want a suppresor for my shotgun. wtf would I do with that seriously? hunt geese in stealth mode.

Where gun control is now, well in my state I like it, the rules are resonable for us law abiding people.

The whole problem is gun laws are ment to keep guns out of criminals hands. Well the name criminal comes from the fact that they dont fucking obey the law. Can you guys understand the oxi-moron?

The fact is... if someone how they tried to ban guns all together.. I wouldnt stop packing.. I hope you wouldnt either.
