The handshake and exit routine.

I always COMPLETELY fuck this routine up! I don't know how it comes so naturally to everyone. I tried to just leave without doing the handshakes today and one guy shook my hand anyway, so I'm sure I seemed like a total asshole...it was awkward.

Depends on the context. A lot of people I meet seem to need some sort of physical contact before leaving. I don't really understand it.

I mess it up sometimes, too. But if it's a business type situation, handshakes are pretty standard and easy to nail.

Some people despise the handshake and leave. Some people need a hug. Some people just want a peace sign or a "later". Some people want a professional business-type handshake, some people want something hip and different.
Youd think youd really have to learn how to read people to know how to act in this situation but in actuality it is your thought projection that creates the reality. What you visualize the other person as wanting is what they will want. You are god. You create this world through your thoughts, visualisations and manifestation.

Well, I had a really boring night - I just found it difficult to make conversation (which is nothing unusual). So I just wanted to get the hell out of there. The guy before me shook everyone's hand, and I left right afterwards. Oh, people were saying shit to me (like "thanks for coming out") except I couldn't really understand anyone so I just nodded until it looked like no one else was talking, waved, and left.

Do you do visualizations when you are by yourself? Like, you visualize yourself getting along with people and having a good exit?

In other words, you have equal say in what goes down. The other guy is probably wondering the same thing near the end of the conversation. Take the initiative, and you'll probably get to choose between handshake and hug. :smile2:

I have trouble with high-fives cuz they're obnoxious and shit. I only ever come out of one feeling like I accomplished something if my hand is stinging and I know that mother fucker will never try to give me a high-five again.
