anywhere from from 2.5 to 4.5 dry grams depending on the strain and conditions for your trip

I'd recommend starting low (around 2 grams) and finding out how that affects you. Amounts affect people differently, and you can always increase the dosage next time. You would hate to get into a position you have no control over. Besides if you start out with too much, you may never get a chance to do it again..........

Definitely do not take 1/8 oz for your first time...start with half an 1/8...better safe than OUT OF CONTROL!!!

I think that *everybody* is telling this guy to take too much. I don't shroom often, but recently I took one small cap and two stems (maybe 1 1/4 gram dried??) and had a decent trip (no visuals or anything, though.) But I also recently sat around while 4 of my friends split a 1/4 equally-- which amounts to just under 2 g. each-- and they were tripping pretty damn hard. Not mind-blowing or anything, but then, these guys shroom a couple times a month and are experienced with it. I would advise much caution, not because you're going to die or anything, but just because shrooming is supposed to be beautiful and moving, not disturbing and scary. I'd say anything over 2 g your first time and you're asking for trouble. Build up to the reality-shattering experiences, that way you'll feel like you're in control of your trips, and that confidence and calm is necessary for a pleasant trip.GT

Maybe I was off a little bit... last night my girlfriend and I split about 3 grams and both felt only a mild body buzz. I weigh 195, she weighs 130. I would recommend you start off @ ca. 2 grams. It's totally diffrent from person to person...i have friends that trip hard off 2 grams...and i can take 6+ and not trip terribly hard. I'd start with at least 2 grams,(so you at least get a decent trip..when you don't trip at all, it's almost as bad as a bad trip sometimes) and not more then an 8th. I actually think body weight has alot to do with it too..so you might wanna start around the 2g mark. Good luck...happy tripping-Primate ------------------

My first time I took 3 grams, or about and Eighth, and it was fabulous!Whatever rocks your boat, I reckon.

It is best not to disassemble what has
not yet been completed.
If you take a large enough dose before
a certain amount of completed personality
development, approximately occurring at age
18, you stand a real chance of 'blowing your
mind' (ego identity) before it has reached
a basic degree of stability. This is not a
legal thing, it is the developmental reason
underlying the legal age issues. The danger
is real that one may predispose oneself to
schizoid, schizotypal or schizophrenic
disorders, like the sugar-addict who predisposes himself to diabetes.
Recommendation: study now - trip later.
