Different Types Different Trips?

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with this one... What is the deal with different experiences for different types of mushrooms ? Why do they produce different effects? I have been noticing big differences in my trips since I started eating a different strain. The differences I am talking about are not just differences in intensity. My experiences are completely different. I have eaten mushrooms three times in the last couple of months, all were wild collected Cubensis. Previous to this I had only eaten cultivated shrooms that I had purchased, I don't know what type. The major differences in the effects that I have noticed are bodily or psych-somatic. The wild Cubensis produce a feeling of muscle tension and soreness. The sensation is similar to the feeling in the mscles after strenuous excercise, In my previous experiences with purchased shrooms there was nothing like this. Instead my body would allways feel extremely relaxed and light.
If the active substances in shrooms are all the same just in different ammounts, why the diefferences in experience? Is it possible that there is some other influential factor? What I ate? How much excercise? etc.
I would be very interested to know what others have experienced.
Any Help greatly appreciated!

Try the pink oysters. They're great with steak.

Hi, I want to revive this thread because basically I would like to ask the same question. Why do different mushrooms produce different effects? My brief research into this suggests a broad range. Are there other active chemicals than psilocybin which are a factor?

I tripped a couple days ago and my whole body was really sore while I was on them, which I had never really noticed before

Hmm.. cubensis caused muscle-soreness at me too... at least in high doses!
Plus I get more visuals from cubensis than from c. cyanescens..
Really weird cause they both contain Psylocybin and Psylocin.

Why is that weird ShroomyJ? Sativas and Indicas both contain THC...but their highs/buzzes are uniquely different as well.
I noticed major differences within the sub-strains of cubensis when I was growing/shrooming. Depends on how mindful you are and how well you know your body and perceptions. My favorite cubensis trip was Mazatapecs. Great visuals, great body buzz, great calmness, egoloss was smooth and enjoyable.

Around here we get tons of p. cyanescens during mushroom season, but they give me muscle weirdness...not really soreness, it feels like my legs and arms are empty inside. It's very unpleasant. But cubensis never give me that problem or any other side effects no matter what strain.
