have you ever been guilty of social engineering?

I think this euphemism for "manipulating people" is not so much a euphemism for that as the more proper way of being pro-social.

manipulating people is more anti-social behavior.

I think a good example of "social engineering" is that fact that I think at the core most people are good and I think if you have a conflict with someone and they happen to be acquainted with your acquaintences that being respectful and maybe extending kindness despite maybe not liking them.

I have many times in the past had people who where "enemies" become friends. One example is for years the kid up the street and I (as kids) used to bully each other, etc. For some reason finding those things we had in common was a lot more fun than tossing rocks at each other.

so, i think their will always be :drama: but I think the difference between manipulating people (always creating more drama) by being insincere, is the same difference as baseless emotional arguements versus a healthy debate.

That being said, i would like to hear your stories of times where you turned something around by using pro-social behavior versus manipulation (anti social behavior)

or some good fart jokes would be good too, i dont really care either way

hey other guy, i often have this attitude, because i have a good concept of justice, i have integrity (true integrity) and it runs in conflict to other things i see, but i always at least try to remember what it feels like to feel shit on so shitting on others doesnt really help.

I was guilty of this with my high school sweetie.  I didn't even realize I was doing it either..    Nothing malicious, but looking back I was one manipulative motherfucker.  :frown:  I'm glad I had a long term relationship that early or I'd make a RETARDED boyfriend nowadays. :lol:

i have someone right now he seems to want me to end up a boyfriend.

i mean, i dont feel like im being manipulative at all, but i definitely take advantage of the fact that many people have known me for many years and those who dont gotta love with that :tongue2: :insano:
