as of late i saw two threads that there wrasslin' related, surprisingly i always wondered why it doesnt get talked about more here in the pub.

since its not an actual sport, per se, it doesnt get talked about in the sports section either.

therefore i think a discussion of wrasslin' is in order.

i am talking about pro wrestling.

i dont argue that it isnt athletic, but the outcomes are pre-determined and what not. i still find it entertaining though.

i don't really enjoy grown men putting each other in fake choke holds while wearing speedos. for that matter, i don't really enjoy watching any sports.

what do you find entertaining about it?

i think sums up why i like it.

yeah, sometimes the angles (storylines) are dumb, other times the dumb weird ones are the best (and funniest)

i do like more technical matches, i think its entertaining, i think you would have to be a dumbass to not realize its theatre, and not "real". none of the fans think its "real"

people who call it "fake" are usually the kind of people who are not very smart, as if somehow they actually think people dont know this fact. Die Hard is fake, its still entertaining.

I stopped watching when WWE got rid of it's competition, after that it just went downhill.

I still play the video games but most of my fav wrestlers are gone

it seems that they have gotten better since TNA actually gives them some competition, even if their ratings arent as high.

i think TNA is why they got rid of their farm league, ovw, which is where they get the vast majority of the people they hire, also they send wrestlers there to train others and get retrained.

also TNA seems to actually have some big names now, i have yet to actually watch an episode of impact.
