Competition

I have realized in recent months that I am a very competitive person. I don't even necessarily have to be competing against someone else; I even compete with MYSELF.

I sometimes don't like the "competitive" feeling I get in life, but it occured to me that this seems to be a natural human trait, and perhaps what helps us continue to strive onwards as a species.

Thoughts? Do you have that deep-seated urge to compete with just about everything?

I don't get it all the time; just often. It can be annoying, brings me to a place of agitation, so I'm trying to lighten up and not feel that competitive drive so much.

(or at least use it appropriately)

Oh yea, I am a competitive person.

I think its natural for all humans to be this way in some aspect, like you said. The key is to love the struggle. Otherwise it will wear you down if you think you are doing this now for some future end.

I'm actually extremely  un-competitive,almost to a fault. I'll do a friendly "contest" at times,but who doesn't.

I guess i just don't care,hah.

Nope. Hate Team sports. I played a lot of hockey when i was a kid. That aside. Without that spirit, it's hard to get much out of team sports.

If your not about competition, team sports, being solely based on competition seems a little out of your interest does it not?

I'm not usually too competitive, sometimes it can ruin the fun if people get too competitive.

Sometimes, though, you need to stake your ground.
