Besides if this is the type of person who would steal from you as a friend then what's to say that after you "beat his ass" he doens't return to your house at night in bitter rage and murder you and your family?  I can see how $100 worth of weed is worth it.  People are unpredictable and you never really know what somebody else is capable of but when you wake up to your sheets on fire because this guy with a key wants revenge for his beating you may wish you had just been an adult and let it go.

Principle. Not standing up for yourself because you're afraid of retaliation is just cowardly.  It has nothing to do with physical violence as much as it does respect.  That friend didn't respect him and even asking for the weed or money back won't bring that respect back.  Fuck the weed, he stole respect.  It can be resolved without violence, but noone will ever respect a coward.

Some people have pride and respect for themselves.  If you cross me you've disrespected me, and there needs to be an explanation.  I fight for sport so I don't really dish out ass-whoopings for any old thing anymore, but then again I haven't had anybody cross me in a long time.  Sometimes people aren't going to respect any form of consequence that's not physical.  I've known people like this and I'm sure you have too.  If you're willing to let them walk all over from you, steal from you, and then laugh about your inability to stand up for yourself have at it.
