now, i dont have a pic of it yet, hopefully i will have one, but these grew from grass, the caps were a purple-black(maybe more black), i dont think they were spore-covered, the gills were a creamish-white, the stem started a bright yellow from the gills and faded to a white, the spores(micro-dots all on the grass around them)seemed dark, maybe black(i didnt examine them since i didnt plan on IDing them) and it bruised a very very distinctive purple(quite dark purple), and were probly no taller than 2in, found in TX near the coast(a few miles form it), about a hundred yards from a lake
hope that's enough info for now

Something in the description doesn't match up. White gills and a dark spore print doesn't really work out. Were the gills attached or free? Was the cap concave or convex?

any coastal mushroom with "bluish" (purple qualifies) bruising seems interesting. did they have a veil? did you decide to id them after the fact and just leave them/ and spore color and gill color do coincide a bit, so the color of the gills when young AND when old would help. there is too little info to guess. sorry, thanks.
