I found these guys all growing right up next to trees, the ones pictured here from a cherry tree. Not sure what they are.

Hey baraka, I'll tell you what I think they may be, but remember this is a guess. This is only a guess. Please stand by for the next 60 seconds. Important information will follow.

If they had a sac-like cup around the stalk base, they may be a type of Volvariella, maybe Volvariella speciosa.
Take a sporprint if possible. If the sporeprint is salmon to brownish pink colored that could be what they are. I, in no way, am an expert on ID'ing mushrooms. There are a lot better folks here that can do it if they have enough information.
Post it at the other mushroom hunting forum here at the Shroomery, they may be able to help you more.
To post your pic straight to the post, do exactly as you did when you attached it. Then go to your post, click on where it says attachment, copy the address of your pic from the address bar. Then go to "edit" your post, click there, then paste the address to your post in the edit area, type[image] at the beginning of your pasted address and [/image] at the end. Then preveiw it to see if it worked. If it did, then click submit.I don't think I left anything out.Good luck.
