Yeah, it's liking watching a bunch of teenage girls getting wet and fainting over the Beatles. CHANGE! WE GONNA CHANGE GODDAMMIT! CHANGE, UNITY, TRANSPARENCY. LOLz. It's newspeak.

For sure, it's a cult of personality. I wonder if the honeymoon is gonna end? But it does entertain. I wonder how much more in debt we'll be in 4 years?

I'm personally not putting any weight into any of the hype, bit I do have hopes.

How did Bush make my life worse? He came to my house and raped my sister. Bastard.

Approval rating means nothing. The population is brain wsahed by the MSM, pure and simple. Also, examine historical record, the MSM didn't really exist before WW2. I wish I could explain that better now. I hate typing and i'm drunk.

George W. Bush > Andrew Jackson. lol.

Anyway, I think the hype is ridiculous and it could be potentially very dangerous. If a majority of people will follow blindly because of smooth words than that sucks, but what can you do. I don't know what I can do anyway, can't even vote cause of my felony. I'm trying to stay positive and hope Obama can help things turn for the better rather than worse (and if you are one of those people who think things can't get worse after Bush, I hope you don't have to learn the hard way). The biggest thing I hope for, is that the people of our country hold onto our rights and don't let those go no matter who it is trying to take them. You give a little and you will lose much more.

Barak is going to ruin the economy and America?

And the government "will" become big?

You need to think about what you're saying man.

It's amazing that people who supported Bush ( I can understand your position if you don't support either guy) say that people follow Barak blindly.

The fact is almost nobody who votes knows jack crap about what's going on. It's a republican/democrat thing, or a poor man's guys/rich man's guy thing, and now a black and white thing.

It's ALL hype. Bush's hype, Barak's hype.

I kid you not, Jay-Z runs in 8 years with Beyonce as his VP, they'd win.

How you gonna out hype that?

I think after the hype calms down we will see if he keeps his promises. The hype is due to the fact that the Bush administration completely fucked the country over in 8 years morally and financially every one is sighing with relief. I was pleased to see that he acknowledged Non-believers in his speech. I was really getting tired of all the christianity (purposely not capitalized)
bullshit like they could do no wrong and knew what was best for everyone. They seemed to treat everyone as inferior to them. I was also happy when he suspended Bush's pending executive orders and said I'm a lefty get used to it.

That's not his fault. A little government oversight the past 40 years would have helped.

I personally am not for helping any of these chumps out. Let them fall. We'll suck it up, regroup and drive on. But you know that ain't gonna happen. God forbid we take our medicine now instead of what we'll be looking at when this chicken comes home to roost.

What then? A 40 Trillion dollar package?

But again, this isn't on Obama's or Bush's shoulders. They didn't screw the economy. Although there are a LOT of signs that decisions made by the former administration helped the train wreck along.

Bottom line, the machine cannot be sustained. Americans are addicted to their machine. Immovable object is meeting irresistible force.

Bush and the republicans are the ones who used unlimited amounts of money on the war on terror and military spending. Yes it is Bush's and the republican law makers fault. Even though the congress and senate had a majority the last 2 years they did not have a super majority and the republicans shot down most of the democrats proposals. There was a surplus at the end of Clinton's presidency.
The republicans sold America out from under us by running up debt that the Chinese funded and now they pretty much own us. Bush should be tried for treason and shot. I'm sure a lot of shit they did that we haven't heard about is going to come to light very soon.

I will support him until he fucks up royally. I know a lot of the people on this board are younger and haven't experienced a lot of different presidential administrations. I remember watching the fall of Saigon on the news, the impeachment of Nixon, Fords presidency and all those up until now. Bush Jr's has been the most damaging to the country. He is a traitor and should be treated as such.

No, I appreciated the acknowledgement of nonbelievers as well. It's about time this started to feel like a secular government again.
