Has anybody else takin notice to the almost scary trust and belief in barack obama. The media has backed him from the beginging, he can seemingly do no wrong. Whenver i criticize him people immeadiately jump all over me for being racist, there remains undying trust in this unknown man. You are looked down upon for disagreeing with barack, almost as if you are crazy for not agreeing with him. The democrats control just about all of washington, and whatever you party affiliation, that is a very scary situation. Obama is treated like a god, all of the merchandise, the overblown inuaguration, the campaign slogan "change" which required no specification. What im trying to say is that america is vulnerable, people are looking for a leader an icon, and i fear that barack obama has become a man who is infallible.
You Barack supporters do realize that he is a strong proponent of socialism right. Im not using the term in a deregatory sense, but in a time of recession he will ruin the economy. THe undying praise for him scares me, he will tax the shit out of everything, the governemnt will become very big, mark my words. This man is a good man, but i fear his policies and expansion of the governemnt. His proposals will not come into question but will be automatically accepted, barack obama will exercise power by the likes of which we have not seen before. He will not be questioned, he will ruin america, and people complacently sit on the sidelines.

Don't be so worried about it. People got hyped because we might actually have someone in office who isn't an imbecile and people who are succeptable to fads are on his dick like he's the last man on Earth. It's like hurricane Katrina. Remember when it happened suddenly everyone was obsessed with hurricanes? It was ridiculous.
The nonsense will soon be over, hopefully, and we'll soon return to a more normal way of seeing politicians. Hopefully.
People are just excited. Relaaaax...

just because Obama is different, doesn't mean he will be right. the path of right and wrong isn't a two way road being successful in only one direction or the other. there are an infinite number of correct and incorrect paths leading to any outcome.

The primary concern with government is the scope of it's power. Most government action can be boiled down to the invention is economic affairs. Democrats generally support a greater involevemnt in economic affrairs. When ecomic stuff goes south they will implement increased control over your life. It is inivietible. That is why the left is considerably worse.

I agree. I always thought Obama would be a good presidential candidate due to his freshness and charisma but people are seriously creaming their jeans over him before he's really accomplished anything better than magnificent oratory.
Most of a president's job is to be a figurehead, and he's obviously a great one, but there are other facets to the job and we have no idea how well he will perform at these.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

There's no way in fuck he could worse than Bush.
Unless he starts global thermonuclear war, which I don't see happening.

Yes, I think much of the excitement also derives from the fact that he is about as big a change from George W. as you could conceivably imagine.
How Bush got a second term is beyond me, but it's a breath of fresh air not to have that asshole embarrassing us with his representation.

How did Bush make your life worse?
In the lst 100 years, I would(currently) rank bush as the 9th worst president. History )especially US history) is far to kind to past president. Imagine what kids will learn about bush ni 30 years. HE WON THE IRAQI WAR and SAVED THE MIDDLE EAST :vomit:

Ya, but I'm pretty sure his approval rating was worse than Hoovers by the end of his term.
