I didn't read all this thread but i think 'something' is wrong with it all.

I've been through my share of 9/11 conspiracy debates, and what they invariably result in is a pissing match of "well did you know" and "well did you know something else". The bottom line is nobody will know for decades about the intricacies of what happened. My bet goes with a mix of up-tops knowing about it/letting it happen and the lower-downs being too negligent to notice anything was wrong. There are lots of weird little facts to keep the conpiracy going on for years to come.

Did anyone take a look at the article I linked? I'd love to hear somebody else's reaction to it...I've never actually been able to get another person to read it and tell me what they think.

Seriously though, you have to read  The Unconscious Civilization. It's amazing, not only in what it says about the present, but what it says about the past.

John Saul is highly respected and writes allot of fiction to, but his books like Voltaire's bastards, and the Doubters companion:A Dictionary of Aggressive Common Sense, are fucking explosive. :yesnod:

I cannot recommend the works of Saul highly enough.

When you think about it, 9/11 has some very striking similarities to Pearl Harbor that I think we could learn from. Its a pretty popular and well-supported belief today that FDR, Churchill, UK intelligence, and probably several other US and allied officials knew about the attack, but let it happened because they believed it to be necessary to eneter WW2 for the safety of the globe. Something like half an hour before the attack happened, a rookie RADAR operator saw a huge blip on the screen, reported it, but his commanding officer (who was hung over from the night before-a Saturday) told him to dismiss it.

Could a similar scenario have happened with 9/11? Think about it...a self-righteous, arrogant, unpopular and borderline retarded president hears of an attack on US soil from (fill in the blank) intelligence agency. With a string or two pulled the attack can be allowed to happened without a hitch. A new crusade for the New American Centutry? I'm not even getting involved in this shit again. All I will say is that plenty of highly respected people are sure there is more to 9/11 then the official story.

Including Ray Mcgovern, former head of the CIA for Bush1, Clinton, and Bush2.
Among others. There are plenty of credible scientists, engineers and others that have suspicions about what happened.

You don't have to agree, but what it comes to some of these people, you can't really question their expertise.

I'm not saying I believe the "official story" either, I just know how people tend to get carried away with this stuff.

Oh, and the BF hasn't been over in a couple  days, but when he gets here I'll be sure to take out all my anti-9/11 conspiracy aggression on him. Could make for a hot night!

Yes. To what degree I do not know. There are thousands of conspiracy theories floating around and whether it was an inside job to the extent that some of the more extreme theories claim I do not know. Investigation needs to be continue.
