Dry subtrate in a jar, will it make it?
    #963152 -

One of my jars has a mixture of unusualy dry substrate. I was just doing an experiment. It is almost entirely colonized but I fear there is not enough moisture left in it to finish it off. Is there any way to help out this cake? I plan on dunking it as soon (if) as it comes out of the jar.

If you really think is dry and is just an experiment , try injecting some sterilized water into it . Otherwise leave it , it will grow but will slow down , if it does not colonize completely at birth time , cut off what is not colonized and hope .
Good Luck

You can inject sterile water into the jar. Worked for me.
