dried out magic compost bags

I innocultaed a ton of magic grow bags about 3 weeks ago and they colonized very slow, but finally did. I just dumped the packets of rye into the compost, which seemed to be a little dry. I was wondering if that will hinder colonization or fruiting and if I should opene the bags and mist now or when they colonize or what? Its hard to tell because there are some dried pieces of compost on the walls of the bag and looks like a couple little chunks of compost on top. Any suggesstions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

he said they where dry, sporeworks myco bags don't have this prob.

The *compost bags* are a little different than the mycobags sporeworks offers. Bluethumbs has larger *magic bags* with rye berries that work better than the sporework bags, I do have some compost bags and will soon try the pans in them.
On a side note, if you buy any of these bags and do not plan on using them soon, put them is a larger sealed (ziploc) bag. They all will dry out if they are left idle, or your incubator uses dry heat. I learned this the hard way, but I was able to save the sporework bags I dried out by injecting a few cc's of sterile water into them.
Of course, your results and issues may not be like mine. These are just my opinions and solutions.
